Research and Development

• We learnt how to successfully navigate different search engines in order to gain information about opening title sequences.

• We watched various title sequences on websites such as youtube, artofthetitle.com and vimeo.

Pre Production

• We used a scanner to scan in our storyboard.

• Then we created an animation of our storyboard in adobe premiere editing suite.

Production

• Using the Canon 550d we learnt how to adjust focus, ISO levels, and exposure levels.

• Learning how to adjust these levels allowed us to execute clean filmic style, with shallow focus which did well with the DSLR.

Post Production• We used editing programmes including sony

vegas and adobe after effects.

• In after effects we did colour correction using a plugin called magic bullet looks. This was very useful in creating the atmosphere of our film.

• In sony vegas we learnt how to sync, adjust light levels, cut clips and apply transitions in-between and after clips. For example in our sequence we often used fade in from black.
