AIM 1 EVALUATION

• Aim: Make profit from products we will sell• Objective: Produce and sell our product with at least 1,000$ earned through

this and through donations• Success criteria: Many shirts have been ordered and lots of generous

donations made.Evaluation: Strengths: In my promotional awareness project I produced a poster which was posted all over Discovery Bay 2 weeks before the initial sale at the flea market.Weaknesses: I wanted to produce a more vivid and interactive poster that would provide our audience with more information but when producing and designing the poster, I realized how small the text would have to be in relation in my design and decided just to add the logo and hopefully people would be interested to visit their site and find out more.Actions for the future: In the future I will have to manufacture a smaller design/logo or organize my poster in a way that I can fit necessary information that will encourage the target audience to have a look at the HKSF and their work and make more possible donations.

AIM 2 EVALUATION

• Aim: Get more students involved with the HKSF (E.g. volunteering)• Objective: By the end of the project we hope to have at least 5 student

volunteers for the HKSF• Success Criteria: We have recruited several student volunteers and

nominated an ambassador from the sixth form. Evaluation:Strengths: Once educated on the HKSF and their cause students were very keen to get involved. It was also a good indicator to us that our message and advertising strategies did work and many more students and DB residents are aware of shark conservation in Hong Kong and around the world.Weaknesses: Most people weren’t convinced it was a worthy enough cause to dedicate their time to. This shows us that we may not have stressed the severity of shark finning and its impact on the food chain and environment.Actions for the Future: In the future we would need to be extremely vivid and create something that doesn’t attract a purchaser as much to the design. But rather they will buy our product because they believe it’s an incredibly worthy cause, which it is but unfortunately not everyone can tell from first glimpses.

AIM 3 EVALUATION

• Aim: Get some donations from Island School and the general public• Objective: Make notice of our Project through posters around Discovery

Bay advertising our sale.• Success Criteria: Posters were put up all over Discovery Bay 2 weeks

in advance. They were placed in buildings and all over tennis courts. People were aware of what was going on.

Evaluation:Strengths: Many Island School students are environmental and believe in helping the HKSF with the conservation of sharks and made generous donations after looking into the HKSF from our posters. Discovery Bay residents are very wholesome and believe in helping anything that will help the environment. They purchased our product and made donations.Weaknesses: It was tough to advertise our campaign as there is so much information that only some of it would convince people.Actions for the Future: In the future I think we should do something more to get more money and donations off people. (E.g. a sponsored run)
