What kind of institution might distribute your magazine and why? I believe that IPC Media would be the most likely to distribute my magazine. This is because they currently distribute NME, Bass and Guitar and I feel that my magazine is quite similar to all three of these. IPC Media’s audience are well aware of other magazines that they provide for and therefore I feel that this would be a good choice: Their other magazines already have an established audience and this would obviously increase the profit of WHO magazine. I do not think that the relationship between WHO and IPC would be one sided as I think with their help, we would become very successful together and my magazine would assist them in widening their range and variety of magazines without interfering with their target audience or original success. We share the same target audience as many of their magazines: 17 to 25 year old males. My magazine would also be attractive to girls as well which could be beneficial to IPC because it would increase the interest in their other magazines. Who Magazine is also a mass market magazine, like NME, and therefore is very similar to publications that they already distribute and WHO would only add to this success.
