Colour The colours I have chosen are red, black, yellow and white. This attracts my

target audience of teenagers ranging from 15 to 18 girls. As the colours are bright and catchy and stand out. I keep these colours throughout the front cover and contents page as it is strong and bold, however I changed the colours to blue in the double page spread. I did this because the colour blue connotes calmness and passion, and I have used a live performance and a interview on how the band started and it shows that the band are passionate about music and think that anyone can make it.

• In my audience feedback for the front cover 7 people said excellent and 3 people said good, this means that the colours i have used really catchy the right target audiences eye. For my contents page 4 people said excellent, 5 people said good and 1 person said average, this could mean that lots of other indie magazines use these colours. For my double page spread 2 people said excellent and 8 people said good.

Images Front cover I used a medium long shot of Mollie with her hand on her hip and the other on

the wall to show that see is strong, serious and confident.• In my audience feedback 7 said the images was excellent and 3 people said the images

was good. This suggest i have used good images for my genre and target audience. Content page I used a mid shot of Mollie at the top which showed she had worked so hard

on her tour its time for a break. Pictures of gigs that are live performances, and an image of tickets to show that you can win tickets to the next big festival. There is also a picture of the best instrument of this month.

• In my audience feedback 2 people said the images was excellent, 8people said it was good.

Double page spread I used a live performance shot which was medium long shot, of the upper-hand singing live.

• In my audience feedback 3 people said the images were excellent and 7 people said they were good.

• All these shots attract the target audience because its all of the recent charts of indie and they are all young artists. It also shows that they are at gigs which relates back to the target audience.

Cover lines

On my front cover the cover lines are short and eye-catchy, as I have used quotes from what people have said and made banners to make them standout and attract the audience. My cover lines also have different fronts to make it more interesting and appealing to the target audience.

In my audience feedback for the front cover 4 people said they were excellent and 6 people said they were good. For the contents page 4 people said they were all excellent and 6 people thought they were good. For my double page spread 8 people said it was excellent and 2 people said it was good, this suggest that my article cover line was the best and made the people want to read it as it stood out and made you think.

Prices

The price of my magazine is £2.50, I think that this will attract my target audience as other indie magazines are about £3.00, so young teenagers are more likely to buy the cheaper one.

During my first questionnaire when creating this magazine I asked 20 people on what price they would prefer if you were to my this magazine and 14 people said £2.50, 3 people said £2.60, 1 person said £2.70 and 2 people said £2.40. therefore i went for the price that more people were willing to pay.

Layout I have made sure that it is not to complicated and kept it simple with a

lot of pictures and less writing. For example on my contents page 2 columns are filled with photos and there is only 1 column worth of writing. On my front cover I have used short catchy phases and put all the cover lines down the left side.

In my audience feedback for my front cover 4 people said the layout was excellent and 6 said it was good, so overall the front cover had a good layout that stood out for the audience. For my contents page 4 people said excellent 4 people said good and 2 people said it was average, this could be because it was interesting as it looked the same as other magazines that’s why it was said to be average. For my double page spread 5 people said excellent and 5 people said it was good, this could suggest that my double page spread was eye catching.
