Transcript of Evaluation 3

  1. 1. Media Institutions I want the potential media institution for my magazine to specialize in the distribution of all types of magazines. The two leading distributors within the UK are
  2. 2. Each of these companies are highly regarded within the magazine industry, successfully distributing magazines across a variety of genres. The research of these companies is very important as I need to know which is best to distribute the magazine I have created.
  3. 3. - Emap is a business-to-business multiplatform media group, whose brands inform, inspire and connect within the sectors they operate in. EMAP previously distributed the music magazine MOJO, which is very successful. 5. 5. The Institution I believe would be most suitable for my music magazine is
  6. 6. Even though EMAP is an extremely highly credited distributor, I didnt get a strong sense or focus on music but rather fashion, retail, health, politics and education. I felt these subjects also were not that interesting for my target audience of 14+ an felt that another distributor would suit better.
  7. 7. I have chosen Bauer Media as this company successfully distributes music magazines such as Q (which I took most of my inspiration from) and MOJO. Both magazines have colossal readership numbers and the following on social media for Q is 111k! As my media product is also in the music category, Bauer Media with no doubt would be ideal as they will know how to promote and distribute this product correctly as seen in there other successful music pieces.
