New Line Cinema
New Line Cinema Distribution Method: New Line Cinema was merged with its parent company
Warner Bros. in 2008. Meaning it is owned by
the large conglomerate Time Warner. This means it can utilise synergistic promotional activity to market their film to increase audience exposure. They could use multiple platforms, e.g. traditional marketing methods as well as utilising Web 2.0. They could also create an app or a blog to create buzz for the film. Because it has a parent company it can utilise other types of synergy, e.g. the use of another
one of their subsiduries- TIME INC.
ExhibitionOur film would
probably be show at
a line of cinemas
that could be found in
multiple places, like
Vue; a multiplex cinema.
However, there may
be an opening premiere
for the film at the IMAX
to create buzz.
Our film will be aiming at the core target audience of 15-24. We will advertise to this audience by using traditional marketing as well as web 2.0. We will utilise the use of web 2.0 because most of our core target audience are positive technological determinists and own technologically converged devices like mobile phones and tablet. We will create an app and a blog as well as posters and trailers. We would use staggered release, it would come out in the cinema first then be released on DVD and then finally be shown on TV.
