My magazine would be sold in

traditional shops such as

newsagents and WHSmith but

also to try to appeal to its target

audience by selling it in chain

barbershops and hair salons this

is because this is relatively full

of young adults of black

ethnicity so they can relate, also

the there is a high footfall of my

target audience around

shopping centres and retail

parks such as Westfield or

Gallions Reach so it would be a

good idea to sell them in retail

shops such as JD Sports and

Foot asylum because these are

very urban and youth orientated

shops.

I do not believe giving

it away at clubs would

be effective it wouldn’t

increase awareness of

the magazine because

the genre of music played in these places

are mostly dance and

techno. Hip would most likely be played

in genre specific clubs

only but because that’s a niche there is

no point of selling it

there.

I think that the magazine

frequency should be once a

month, this is because it will

keep the reader up to date and

allow the magazine time to

collect and capture the

highlights of the month keep in

new and exciting. My magazine

is reaching to the mass of hi

hop audience so the circulation

will be amongst the same as

the more established hip hop

magazines like XXL (200,00+).

The reason why it will be

available in subscription as

seen in my contents page is

because it will be easier for my

consumers to buy because its

discounted but its also a secure

a certain number of sales for

my magazine guaranteed

income.

For distribution I believe the best

one to pick would be IPC this is

because they have 60 iconic media

brands, they also create content

for multiple platforms, across print,

online, mobile, tablets and events.

This will be useful for reaching my

target audience since technology is

a big part of most of their daily

life's. The are also the UK's leading

consumer magazine publisher

which is great to have as newly

established magazine they are

known to engage with 26m UK

adults - almost two thirds of UK

women and 42% of UK men. Which

will help me reach the number of

sales wanted and spread

awareness of my magazine their

award winning portfolio of websites

reaches over 25 million users

globally every month. Which will

help me exploit the use of web 2.0.
