Question 2 Evaluation

Page 2: Evaluation 2

There are many things amongst our 3

products that work together and are the same.

We did this so the products related to each

other, meaning also that audiences would

know they were made for the same purpose.

There are many examples of this..

Page 3: Evaluation 2

Firstly, the slogan ‘What’s next Boss?’ is used on the print advert, it is also used

on our radio trailer when the name and scheduling is revealed. This is also a

rhetorical question which gets the audience involved in the product and ultimately

leads them to watching the documentary.

The slogan is quite mysterious, leaving the audience to make up their own mind

about the meaning.

We also made sure the title and scheduling was the same. The title is on all the

products. It is on the 5 minutes, the radio trailer and also the print advert. This is so

people know what they have watching or what the programme is called in order for

them to watch it. The scheduling is on both the radio trailer and the print advert.

Again so the audience know what time and when the programme is on, it is stated

clearly so there is no confusion.

In the first 5 minutes of the documentary and the radio trailer we used the same

voiceover. This is so the audience can recognise the voice and maybe relate to it.

It is also less for the audience to think about as having more than one voiceover

may cause them to lose concentration on what is being said. It also shows the 2

products are from the same thing.

The music we used in the opening 5 minutes and also in the radio trailer are suitable for

families of all ages as the documentary is aimed at families as it is scheduled for 6 o'clock on

a Sunday afternoon. One of the songs we used which was Coldplay – Paradise, this is a very

well known and popular song which is only recent. We also included ‘You got a friend in me’

which is better known for being the theme tune from Toy Story, this will relate to the

youngsters of the family who are watching as they may recognise the instrumental in the

background. The same is used in the radio trailer.

We also included Voxpops to the beginning of our documentary as a little

introduction into that the documentary is about. They also show that the

documentary is not a serious style, that it is quite friendly and fun. We also

included some of the Voxpops into our radio trailer so that the people listening

had an idea of what was going to be in the documentary, this is something that

will encourage them to watch it as they want to see more.
