Transcript of Evaluate reference center
This is the magazine section which
contain tons of magazines like
Science News, Time, The Classroom
Teacher, Sports Illustrated, National
Wildlife, Popular
Science, Newsweek, and Texas
Monthly. I like that the library is well
equipped with educational
magazines, the only problem is that
they are not accessible to the users. In
order for me to get to them I had to
go into
the storage room and take out the
boxes to browse through them. If
this were my collection I would
have them out in the library in
attractive displays.
EncyclopediasThis is the book self with encyclopedias
it included:
- 30 Encyclopedias Americana
- 20 New Standard Encyclopedias
- 24 Compton's Encyclopedias
- 24 World Books A-Z
- 28 Science and Invention Encyclopedias
- Americas top 10
- Nations of the World
- World Almanac
- Texas Almanac
- Guinness Book of Records
This library is at a middle school, I honestly think that there is room for improvement.
Bookshelves had no labels, if they had posters or some kinds of visual
it would help the user know what the shelves contain.
Magazines were stored away. Not accessible to the user.
The dictionaries had a sign but not a whole lot of variety.
Consider more biographies.
