Blogger

The main tool used throughout my course has been blogger. It’s acted as an online sketchbook which has made my work digitally accessible anywhere and easy to navigate. This has also made my work easy to share with friends and teachers for feedback, and easily lets them distinguish the different sections of my work from my research to my production.

Youtube

We used Youtube for both research and evaluation. We viewed numerous R’n’B videos for genre inspiration to better understand their conventions for our video. Also we viewed many many many tutorials to better understand the other tools used in the production stages of our work. Once we finished, we posted up our video on Youtube and used it to attract commenters and views for our audience feedback, utilising it as a social networking tool for evaluation.

Photoshop

Photoshop has been vital to our production. We used all throughout our ancillaries, from editing photos to remove blemishes or undesirable features, to even fully adding things such as purple lipstick or adding filters. We used this tool to construct in-depth CD panels and advert using layers to create unique branding by merging a camouflage print with repeated ‘K’s.

Premiere Pro + After Effects

We used this video editing software to order and structure our video. As an industry level piece of software it helped us produce a high quality piece of work, implementing various effects such as video overlays. However for extra drama and cool visuals, we also used after effects to produce a distorted transmission effect to close the video. We felt this was a small but very strong way of ending our video.
