EV introduc0on in Latvia Ø Electric vehicles in Latvia introduced rela0vely late Ø E-‐mobility mostly developed by private and NGO sectors
Ø First charging sta0on installed in Riga in 2010 by local charging sta0on manufacturer (ELTUS).
Ø Several NGOs are ac0ve in this field such as Zero Emission Mobility Support
Society, Green energy technology cluster (Kurzeme Business Incubator) represen0ng – 60 companies.
Ø Pilot projects in municipali0es (Riga, Liepaja) and state owned companies (Latvenergo, Rigas Sa0ksme)
Ø In 2012 Latvian Centre for Excellence in E-‐mobility was created.
Ø First state support program expected in 2013.
