It monitors and controls the filling process of liquid fuels. To ensure a safe filling process EUS-2 reliably prevents an overfilling, monitors the grounding and the vapour recovery connection. Highest Level of Functional Safety The EUS-2 Overfill Prevention Controller permanently performs an automatic self-test cycle of all safety related internal components and external connecting elements. In combination with two self-monitored, redundant control outputs it ensures highest functional safety of the loading process. Furthermore, EUS-2 is equipped with additional control outputs, that are optionally configurable to different operating modes and a serial data bus interface. These additional features provide optimal solutions to control and indicate the filling process accommodating individual customer needs. Simple Operation & Configuration The EUS-2 is equipped with a clearly visible bright multi-colour signal light and a large graphic display, which indicate the current operating status and also the self-test information. In combination with the innovative joystick and self-explaining configuration menu simple handling and customized configuration of the device (e.g. of the control outputs) is provided. Various character-sets are available for different languages. Global Operation Two types of plug and socket connections are available for EUS-2 (standards according to EN 13922 or API RP 1004). It automatically detects which type of truck is connected and activates the respective operating mode. The EUS-2 Overfill Prevention Controller is designed in accordance with the latest standards related to the European Explosion Prevention Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX) for operation in hazardous areas of zone 1, gas group IIB as well as to the international standard IECEx.
