europhysicsnewsBULLETIN OF THE EUROPEAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY
J. A. Volume 6 Number 5 M eetings Issue Summer 1975
Europhysics Conference AbstractsA new EPS publication, Europhysics
Conference Abstracts (ECA), is going to provide rapid information on active research as presented at scientific conferences. Initially conferences organized by EPS, its Divisions, Sections or Interdivisional Groups will be
covered by issues of ECA appearing at irregular intervals and each containing the abstracts of a single conference. Further details may be obtained from the Secretariat, European Physical Society, P.O. Box 39, CH -1213 Petit-Lancy 2, Switzerland.
Sponsorship CriteriaThe Executive Committee of the
European Physical Society endorses the ICSU recommendation that registration fees for international conferences, excluding accommodation expenses or purchase of proceedings, should normally not be higher than SFr. 120.— and in no case exceed SFr. 200.—.
Guide to EntriesThis Meetings Issue of Europhysics
News, contains details of future meetings about which notification was received at the EPS Secretariat in Geneva by May 1975. The events are listed in date order in two categories - Conferences and ‘Summer’ Schools. Europhysics Conferences, i.e. meetings organized by EPS, Its Divisions and Sections are printed in bold type and boxed; events sponsored by EPS are printed in bold type; Euro- physics Study Conferences are marked by an E preceding the date.
Conference and ‘summer’ school organizers who wish to have their meetings included in the next Meetings Issue of Europhysics News should apply to :European Physical Society,P.O. Box 39,CH -1213 Petit-Lancy 2
In general, meetings are open to all applicants; where attendance is known to be restricted to invited applicants, this is Indicated by ‘inv.’. The information Is given in the following order :
DateTitleVenueContact for information A: Application deadline / Ab: Abstracts deadline / P : Papers deadline / Number of participants / inv. : by invitation only.Languages other than English / Sponsorship / Conference fee.In the first instance, all enquiries
about EPS approval or sponsorship of events should be sent to the EPS Secretariat.
