Summer = music festivals. There are so many of them in Europe that it’s really hard to choose where to go. We checked and compared the line-ups of the biggest and most popular European festivals, as well as their capacity and the most upcoming artists of 2014. Does the capacity of a festival equal its popularity on social media? Not really! Turns out that Belgian techno fest Tomorrowland is humongous on the web, while in reality it’s more than twice smaller than Glastonbury. Same goes for Primavera Sound in Barcelona – even though it’s the smallest festival of the ones taken into account, it’s third on the Instagram popularity chart. Use our list of festivals' official accounts and follow them on Twitter or choose the one that suits you best and simply hit the road. The musical season has just started!
