III. PARTICIPATION

The competition is open for members of the European Kyokushinkai Tezuka Group

and other Polish and International organizations invited by the PKTG Board.

IV. REFEREES

Every participating team is asked to delegate at least one referee,

For EKTG referees, the standard EKTG referee outfit and a whistle are required,

Referees from other organizations are obliged to wear the clothes as required by their own organization,

Team, which will not delegate any referee will be bound to pay 300 PLN to WKKK until 30 October 2016

at the latest,

For Knockdown and Kata competitions, referees use two flags of red and white colors,

For Light Contact, Semi-knockdown and Older Senior Knockdown competitions, referees use two flags

of red and blue colors.

V. TRAVEL, ACCOMODATION AND MEALS

Travel to Poland:

Please send a request by e-mail to the organizer if you need an official invitation.

All participants:

shall book accommodation by themselves. The list of the recommended hotels is attached to this

invitation,

cover the costs of travel, accommodation and meals on their own,

only transport from/to the Wrocław Airport (http://airport.wroclaw.pl/en/) will be provided free-of charge

(the need for transport from/to the Wrocław Airport, including the flight details, should be notified by

email to the organizer until 25 October 2016).

Free entry to the sport center for all supporters of particular teams notified to the organizer. Please send the

information on the number of accompanying supporters by email while sending the group enrollment form.

Lunch will be provided free-of-charge for the referees refereeing the competition on the particular day.

Members of the EKTG Board and EKTG Branch Chiefs will be provided with free-of-charge

accommodation with breakfast.

VI. REGISTRATION AND COSTS

1. Group enrollment (in the attachment) is OBLIGATORY and shall be sent to the organizer:

[email protected] until 25 October 2016 in electronic form (Word), with a scanned

proof of the enrollment fees payment. The group enrollment printed, stamped and dully signed had to be

delivered to the organizer during the medical check.

2. Individual applications of participants shall be delivered during the medical check.

3. Enrollment fee per each competitor and per competition is 70 PLN. Enrollment fee for the Team Kata

competition is 70 PLN per team (3 competitors).

4. Competitors from outside Europe are exempted from the enrollment fee.

5. After 25 October 2016 enrollments and enrollment fees payment will not be accepted.

6. There is a possibility of ordering lunch sets (vegetarian option will be also available) for competitors and

accompanying persons at 23 PLN/lunch set – reserved only in the group application (!). There will be

no possibility to buy any additional lunch sets in the sport center. Reserved lunch sets will be served in

the sport center area (indicated, separate area; the serving hour, depending on the smooth course of the

Championship, will be announced on the spot). Payment for the ordered lunch sets should be made

together with enrollment fees. Payment for lunch sets will be indicated as a separate position on the

invoice for the enrollment fees.

7. Payments shall be made to the bank account of the organizer until 25 October 2016.

NOTE: Organizer does not accept to participate in the costs of the international money transfer.

VII. MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS VERIFICATION AND WEIGHTING

1. Verification of the medical examinations and weighting are mandatory for all competitors.

2. Verification of the medical examinations and weighting will take place in the AQUA ZDRÓJ sport center

on 25 November 2016 (Friday) between 17.00-20.30 and on 26 November 2016 between 11.00-14.00 (the

second date of weighting is foreseen only for Light Contact and Semi-Knockdown fighters).

3. Due to the fact that the fighters will be already drawn (on the basis of the received applications) and fight

brackets will be published in the official Championship flyer, every fighter who will not fit to the declared

category will be disqualified.

4. Only medical examination certificates which were signed and stamped by a sport doctor will be accepted.

IX. KATA

The competition is intended for competitors above 12 year old.

Requirements:

1. Valid medical certificate issued by a sport doctor.

2. Clean, white and complete karate-gi with appropriate style signs and badges.

3. Valid membership card and license as required by their organization.

4. ID card (with photo).

5. At every round another kata/form should be performed.

6. Championship will be carried out as single elimination tournament.

Age categories in Kata competition.

1. Young junior men (over 12 years old and under 14 years old) 2. Young junior women (over 12 years old and under 14 years old) 3. Junior men (over 14 years old and under 16 years old) 4. X. KNOCKDOWN – Seniors’ and Older Seniors competitions

Knockdown Seniors’ and Older Seniors’ competition is intended for fighters over 18 years old.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 4 kyu and at least 6 months of specialized training.

2. Valid medical certificate issued by a sport doctor.

3. Clean, white and complete karate-gi with appropriate style signs and badges.

4. Complete protection gear.

5. Valid membership card and license as required by the respective organization.

6. ID card (with photo).

Weight categories

Senior men (18 – 35 years old): under 70 kg, under 80 kg, above 80 kg.

If justified, instead of one category above 80 kg, two categories: under 90 kg and above 90 kg may be

created.

Senior women (18 – 35 years old): under 55 kg, under 60 kg, above 60 kg,

If justified, only two categories for senior women may be created: under 60 kg and above 60 kg.

Older senior men (35 years old and above): under 70 kg, under 80 kg, above 80 kg.

If justified, while respecting the principles of safety, only two categories for older senior men may be

created: under 75 kg and above 75 kg.

NOTE: Age is counted on the basis of a daily date of birth for the day where the competition is

carried out. Older senior men above 35 years old may decide to participate in the Senior men

category.

Main rules and regulations concerning Knockdown competition:.

1. Fights take place in accordance with the PKTG regulations on the Knockdown competition.

2. Front kicks to the head are allowed (only for Seniors’ categories: 18-35 years old): mae–geri–jodan

and hiza–geri–jodan (without pulling).

Mandatory protection gear

Shin and instep pads – white, cotton ones.

For older seniors, a foam helmet in red or blue color (head protection, covering occiput).

Short adhesive band on hands for women (provided by the organizer).

Mouth guard.

Men – groin protector.

Women – breast protector (cups type).

NOTE: Organiser will not provide any personal protection equipment!

Fights duration and victory by the difference in weights

Seniors:

Elimination rounds: 2 minutes, 2 minutes of the extension: Sai-shia.

Semi-finals and finals: 2 minutes, 2 minutes of the first extention, weighting, 2 minutes of the final

extension: Encho-sen.

In semi-finals and finals, after the first extension finished in a draw, the difference in weights

becomes decisive. The difference in weights constitutes a decisive advantage for the lighter fighter

according to the rules referred to below.

For the competitions with categories of 5 kg weight span, if one of the fighters is lighter by 3 kg or

more – the lighter fighter wins. For the heaviest weight categories this limit is 5 kg.

In the competitions with categories of 10 kg weight span, if one of the fighters is ligter by 5 kg or

more – the lighter fighter wins. For the heaviest weight categories (or in the Open category) this limit

is 8 kg (for women and men).

Older seniors: all rounds including semi-finals and finals, 1,5 min., extension of 1,5 min.

XI. KNOCKDOWN - Younger seniors’ competition

Knockdown Younger Seniors’ competition is intended for fighters between 18 and 22 years old.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 4 kyu and at least 6 months of specialized training.

2. Valid medical certificate issued by a sport doctor.

3. Clean, white and complete karate-gi with appropriate style signs and badges.

4. Complete protection gear.

5. Valid membership card and license as required by the respective organisation.

6. ID card (with photo).

2. Valid medical certificate issued by a sport doctor.

3. Clean, white and complete karate-gi with appropriate style signs and badges.

4. Complete protection gear.

5. Valid membership card and license as required by the respective organization.

6. ID card (with photo).

10 Weight Categories:

Cadets (10-12 years old)

a. Men: under 30 kg, under 35 kg, under 40 kg, under 45 kg, under 50 kg.

b. Women: under 30 kg, under 35 kg, under 40 kg, under 45 kg, under 50 kg.

c. Two additional categories may be created for men and women above 50 kg, depending on the number

of declared competitors and the difference of their weight.

NOTE: Age is counted on the basis of a daily date of birth for the day where the competition is carried out.

Main rules and regulations concerning Light Contact Cadets’ competition:.

1. Fights take place in accordance with the PKTG regulations on the Light Contact competition.

2. For this age category low-kick (mawashi geri gedan) in NOT allowed.

Mandatory protection gear

Caged foam helmet (head and face protection, covering occiput) in blue or red color,

Shin and instep pads – white, cotton ones,

Hand protectors - white, cotton, soft ones,

Groin protector – for boys,

Chest guard in the same color as the helmet.

NOTE: Competitors have to use their own protection gear during fights. Only in exceptional

situations, they may be allowed to use chest protectors and helmets provided by organizer and

available next to the mat.

Fights duration:

1,5 minutes in the elimination rounds plus 1 minute extension in demi-finals and finals.

XIII. LIGHT CONTACT – Younger Juniors’ Competition

Light Contact Younger Juniors competition is intended for karate fighters between 12 years (finished at

the day of the tournament) and 14 years (not finished at the day of the tournament).

Requirements:

1. Minimum 3 years of training, at least 7 kyu and 6 months of specialized training.

2. Valid medical certificate issued by a sport doctor.

3. Clean, white and complete karate-gi with appropriate style signs and badges.

4. Complete protection gear.

5. Valid membership card and license as required by the respective organization.

6. ID card (with photo).

11 Weight categories

Younger Juniors (12-14 years old)

Younger Junior Men: under 35 kg, under 40 kg, under 45 kg, under 50 kg, under 55 kg, under 60 kg.

Younger Junior Women: under 35 kg, under 40 kg, under 45 kg, under 50 kg, under 55 kg, under 60 kg.

Two additional categories may be created for men and women above 50 kg, depending on the number of

declared competitors and the difference of their weight.

NOTE: Age is counted on the basis of a daily date of birth for the day where the competition is carried out.

Main rules and regulations concerning Light Contact Younger Juniors’ competition:

1. Fights take place in accordance with the PKTG regulations on the Light Contact competition.

2. In this age category, additionally, the kicks to the thighs - low-kick (mawashi-geri-gedan) are

allowed.

Mandatory protection gear

Caged foam helmet (head and face protection, covering occiput) in blue or red color,

Shin and instep pads – white, cotton ones,

Hand protectors - white, cotton, soft ones,

Groin protector – for boys,

Chest guard in the same color as the helmet.

NOTE: Competitors have to use their own protection gear during fights. Only in exceptional

situation, they may be allowed to use chest protectors and helmets provided by organizer and

available next to the mat.

Fights duration:

1,5 minutes in the elimination rounds plus 1 minute extension in demi-finals and finals.

XIV. SEMI–KNOCKDOWN – Juniors’ and Older Juniors’ Competition

Semi Knockdown competition is intended for karate fighters between 14 and 18 years old. Age is counted on

the basis of a daily date of birth for the day where the competition is carried out.

I. Juniors - between 14 and 16 years old,

II. Older Juniors – between 16 and 18 years old.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 kyu and 6 months of specialized training.

2. Valid medical certificate issued by a sport doctor.

3. Clean, white and complete karate-gi with appropriate style signs and badges.

I. Juniors 14-16 years old:

Junior Men: under 50 kg, under 55 kg, under 60 kg, under 65 kg, under 70 kg, under 75 kg, above 75 kg,

Junior Women: under 45 kg, under 50 kg, under 55 kg, under 60kg, above 60 kg.

II. Older Juniors 16 –18 years old:

Older Junior Men: under 60 kg, under 65 kg, under 70 kg, under 75 kg, under 80 kg, above 80 kg,

Older Junior Women: under 50 kg, under 55 kg, under 60 kg, above 60 kg.

Main rules and regulations concerning Semi-Knockdown competition:

Fights take place in accordance with the PKTG regulations on the Semi-Knockdown competition.

Front kicks to the head are NOT allowed: mae–geri–jodan and hiza–geri–jodan. For hiza–geri-

chudan, pulling and grabbing are NOT allowed.

Complete protection gear.

Competitors fighting in a chaotic manner will be treated as not prepared to participate in the

competition and may be disqualified by the Chief Referee of the tournament.

Mandatory protection gear

Foam helmet in red or blue color (head protection, covering occiput)

Shin and instep pads – white, cotton ones.

Short adhesive band on hands for women (provided by the organizer)

Mouth guard

Men – groin protectors

Women – breast protector (cups type)

NOTE: Organizer will not provide any personal protection equipment!

Elimination rounds and quarter-finals:

2 minutes, 1 minute extension – referees decision;

Semi-finals and finals:

1 minute, 1 minute extension, weighting, Encho-sen 1 minute final extension.

2. For the competitions with categories of 5 kg weight span, if one of the fighters is lighter by 3 kg or

more – the lighter fighter wins. For the heaviest weight categories this limit is 5 kg.

XV. AWARDS

1. In every competition places I, II and III are rewarded with a cup, medal and diploma.

2. IV place is rewarded with a diploma.

3. In the senior competition, there will be one special award for the Best Men Fighter and for the Best

Women Fighter. This award is granted by the Chief Referee after consultation with the organizer. There

will be also special awards for foreign men and women fighters.

XVI. FINAL PROVISIONS

1. Championship are carried out in accordance to PKTG regulations (in the attachment) and to binding

rules of OYAMA IKF in the Kata with Weapons competition. Kata competition is carried out according

to the common rules.

2. Organizer asks for absolute compliance with the deadline for applications and payments and other

arrangements stated above. Only the teams respecting the applicable arrangements will be admitted to

participate in the Championship.

3. Fighter who is called but doesn’t show up at the mat (prepared and wearing required protection gear),

during 1 minute from the call will be disqualified.

4. Protests can be presented directly to the Chief Referee after paying the deposit of 300 PLN to the

organizer. In case of rejection of the protest the deposit is not refundable.

5. Organizer does not accept responsibility for any items lost or left behind.

6. Organizer does not insure individual competitors from the accident.

7. Placing any advertisement in the sport center where the competition is held requires the prior consent of

the organizer.

8. In matters which are not covered by the regulations, the organizer and the Chief Referee take decision.

9. Organizer reserves the right to introduce changes to the regulations.
