Sights at SpringtimeDominating the Athenian Acropolis, the classical temple of

The Parthenon built during the 5th century BC remains almost

untouched by time. The temple was dedicated to the patron

god of Ancient Athens, the goddess of wisdom, Athena. Lit at

night, it is visible almost throughout the city.

The entrance of The National Archaeological Museum of Athens,

located in the centre of the city, next to the Polytechnic School of

Athens. Its one of the most important museums worldwide

concerning exhibits of ancient art items.

The Panathenaic Stadium of Athens, situated on the site of the ancient

stadium near the city centre, one of the most important cultural sites of

Greece. It hosted the first Modern Olympic Games in 1896. The Marathon race

and the Archery Competition of the 2004 Olympic Games took place in this

stadium that marked the revival of the ancient Olympic Games in moderntimes.

The Herod Atticus Theatre, commonly Known as

Herodium, a conservatory of the roman period, located

on the south-west hillside of The Acropolis of Athens.

The National Glyptotheque, established in 2004, housing a

permanent collection of sculptures made by 19th and 20th

century artists as well as temporary artists sculptures. Its

located in Goudi, an area close to ours.
