Our History

1976 1982 1984 20061993 Beyond

Euro Mechanical and Electrical Contracting Company LLC was founded by the late Mr. John Manna on behalf of the heirs of the late Mr. Mohd. Al Hurr in July 1976, the partners sharing the ownership 60/40, between the UAE Nationals and British Nationals respectively. The company’s first assignments were to build and install Gas Turbines for power stations in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

This year saw the introduction of Agencies Division, by making service and sales agreement with key international product suppliers.

Considering power stations and oilfields saw development and growth, the installed plants needed replacement of various valves, instruments, etc. This was when Euro Mechanical was advised to deliver the necessary support and expertise to replace the valves, instruments, and more.

The two British partners sold their shares to the UAE national partners, and Euro Mechanical became 100% owned by the Al Hurr family. Since then, the company has never looked back. It has showcased growth, year on year, by providing premium products and services to the clients.

The Bolting division was formed to deliver expert services for bolt tensioning and torqueing. This division was then extended by adding specialised services such as subsea bolt tensioning and underwater cold cutting, flange pullers, flange spreaders and flange facing machining.

The Fabrication Facility was started at ICAD1, Abu Dhabi to manufacture process skids for oilfields, water treatment plants, power plants, prefabricate piping, equipment and structures. Skids manufactured in our facilities were FAT tested with E&I installation and were ready to hook up at the site without any need for site modification or fabrication work. Apart from serving UAE clients, the facility also provided services to international clients.

The company was founded with having the first Division named Construction Division to support Abu Dhabi’s Onshore and Offshore Oilfields.

Upon successfully completing the Gas Turbine installation, there was a need to have the specialised manpower to oversee the operation of gas turbines, to support this the Manpower Division was established.

The Construction Division executed new installations while Manpower Division developed independently to support multiple clients.

Our Goals

The Agencies Division of Euro Mechanical is a key supplier of Process Control Instrumentation Products and extends its offerings to the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other process industries in the UAE.

We offer a wide range of authentic products and services to our customers in the UAE, which is sourced from world-renowned principals.

We are highly competitive at sourcing equipment worldwide, owing to which our supply services are not limited to agency sales. Whenever possible, we purchase directly from the manufacturer and ensure swift delivery to our customers. Customer satisfaction is of utmost priority to us, and hence we provide a competitive price with complete after-sales services.

Agencies

This division represents the original core business of the company and continues to be a vital part of our business. This division offers services ranging from erection and installation of turbines for general electric; fabrication of stainless and low-temperature carbon steel and GRP/GRE pipework and erection of access lifts to LNG tanks etc. It specialises in the on-site fabrication and erection of mechanical equipment and related E&I works, on-shore and off-shore fabrication, installation work and Shutdown work.

The construction division maintains its own dedicated long-term labour force and owns most of its equipment’s such as cranes, welding sets and trailers.

We have a record of high-quality construction for the Oil & Gas and power generation industries.

Construction

The Fabrication Yard was built in 2006 - 2007 on 23,000 m² of land within Abu Dhabi Industrial City (ICAD), a duty-free zone that boasts modern offices, workshops and warehouses.

This facility employs engineers and shop floor staff skilled in the fabrication and assembly of pressure vessels, water bath heaters, heat exchangers, columns, fin fan coolers, pipe spools and full skid packages with painting and E&I.

Our associate company, SUEZ Oil & Gas Systems, is based in the same facility and we jointly offer EPC solutions for gas conditioning/processing, crude dehydration & desalting, oil/gas/water separators and produced water treatment units.

Our Divisions

We offer a variety of bolting related services, equipment rentals and sales, that range from bolt tensioners, torque wrenches, nut splitters, flange spreaders, flange pullers, flange facing services (2” to 72’ in diameter and larger upon request) to subsea tools and cold cutting machines which could be available with a certified technician, with a short notice.

We offer portable pipe cutting machines for in-situ precision cutting and bevelling of all pipe sizes, schedules and materials. Our line covers a wide range of pipe sizes from 2” to 48” OD. They are designed in such a manner that minimal radial and axial clearance are required for easy installation on the in-line closed-loop pipe.

Our Bolt Tensioning products are designed to suit diverse applications in varied working environments throughout the industrialised world.

We incorporate many unique features into our products to ensure that they are simple, reliable and safe. No matter what your preference for bolt tightening, we have it covered.

We offer world class standard ranges of hydraulic bolt tensioning tools, hydraulic nuts and innovative ranges of direct drive and square drive hydraulic torque wrenches. Along with our general-purpose tensioners and torque wrenches, we also offer many industry-specific bolt tightening tools and solutions.

Based in Abu Dhabi, Euro Mechanical provides a professional multi-disciplined manpower service throughout the United Arab Emirates. Our engineers and trade personnel’s have been involved in a wide range of projects for numerous clients on and offshore. The company has the desired experience and facilities to tackle technical staffing requirements. It currently employs more than 500 experienced personnel, that includes, engineers, draughtsmen, instrument, electrical and mechanical technicians, fabricators, welders, pipe fitters, mechanical fitters, electricians, instrument fitters, technical clerks’ warehousemen etc. All personnel are selected specifically to meet individual clients’ job specifications. At times when suitable staff is unavailable in-house, we recruit from our agents in Europe, India and the Far East.

The new recruits are then interviewed by a senior staff member, trade tested and certified medically fit before employing.

Our long-term clients include Oil & Gas and power companies, as well as international contractors such as Bechtel, General Electric, Ansaldo, Deutsche Babcock, Kvaerner & Kellogg.

Manpower

The NDT & Testing Machines Division of Euro Mechanical offers wide range of state of the art Non Destructive Testing Instruments, Material Testing Systems, Aircraft Wheels & Brakes Service Equipment, Aircraft Recovery Equipment and Image Analysers.

We offer reputed high quality products that meet international standards/certifications and focus on timely delivery, sales and service support. Our team is professionally trained & experienced to support the wide range of solutions offered. Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance and we strive to ensure that requirements are fulfilled. We are steadfast on offering support for our products and have in-house Service centers to Calibrate/Repair instruments from Manufacturers by Factory trained Engineers.
