Has there been any change in women empowerment lately? How, where and why? Is everybody happy with the change?

With the slogan of women empowerment the question arise that “are women become really strong” and “is long term struggle has ended”. Many programmes have been implemented and run by the government in order to bring awareness in the society about the true rights and value of the women in the development of the nation. Women need to be progressed in the number of spheres. The real meaning of the women empowerment is to make them well educated and leave them free so that they can be capable to take their own decisions in any field. The ratio of female sex and female literacy both has increased. According to the Global Gender Gap Index, India needs to take some advance steps to improve the women position in the society through the proper health, higher education and economic participation. Women empowerment needs to take full speed in right direction instead of being in nascent stage.

Who makes the decisions on who is doing what in the household?

Usually minor decisions like what to cook, what needs to be bought for daily consumption etc are taken by women in India whereas major decisions like buying house, Kids education etc are taken by men. Man is considered the head of the house and his wife is usually seen obeying him in every respect.

Main question -  Are  women and men treated equally?\Answer- Inequality was always there and is still present.Ask yourself this, starting from the ancient age how did this situation come into being in the first place, as of now. It's a gradual process, and nobody knows for sure, how it crept into our society. But things are changing. In India, it's the illiteracy and lack of proper work culture, in lower rungs of social ladder, which is the main problem. Logically speaking unless gender neutral laws are made, false accusers are given proper punishment, and proper counter laws are formulated to regulate the misuse of laws where women can accuse men directly without any evidence, marriage becomes a lucrative business for the female family, and a risky gamble for the male family.Now-a-days, Gender Inequality varies from place to place. You can't just look at one side of a dice of many perspectives. You must consider numerous perspectives before reaching a conclusion. Although men tend to use brute force to solve matters, there are in-numerous instances and situations, where women gain unfair advantage above men behind the backs, simply with the help of social and communication skills.
