Exists since many years in technical short curricula (2 years of higher education) :
BTS = brevet de technicien supérieur : 1 month each year
DUT = diplôme universitaire de technologie : 2 months (can be considered as a test period in the view to be hired)

The company : - exoneration from employers social security
