The gaps of the equipment are increased to the safety level ofEN ô0079-1 table 2 (llC).
Repairs on flame-proof joints can only be done by original manufacturer
Components that are used with this device must be in accordance with actualstandards, consist of actual certificates, and provide at least the minimumspecifications of this device. Especially, unused openings must be closed bycertified blind-plugs.
The carrier installed inside the housing is an integral part of the enclosureand is a part of the explosion-proof concept. lt's not allowed to use theenclosure without the carrier installed. Screws used for installing the carrierneed to be fasten and secured according to manufacturer's requirements.

can also be operated with clean, dry, natural gas in locations wherepressurized air is not readily available.
As a requirement for operation with natural gas all inserted electronics of theSIPART PS2, including optional modules, must comply with the availablesafety requirements protection type "Ex ia" and an electric connection withprotection level "ia".
Sufficient ventilation for this operating condition must be ensured to avoid aZone 0 atmosphere around the device.
Operating instructions must be adhered to.

The electropneumatic positioners SIPART PS2 must be erected in such away that the plastic window is only exposed to a low level of hazard ofmechanical damage.
General
The electropneumatic positioners SIPART PS2 with polymeric enclosure(b = 0) shall be protected against the build-up of electrostatic charges.
The connecting and disconnecting of not energy limited circuits to theterminals and the plugging respectively unplugging of the M12 connector andof the internal plug- and socket connectors under voltage is permitted only ifthe presence of hazardous atmosphere can be excluded.
The capacitance of the labels exceeds the allowed value of 3pFOperating instructions must be observed.
