Reason forchange:

This change was initiated with Anite Mail 1491 and confirmed with ETSI mail L00008.

The guard timer in 11.10-3 TC_26_6_6_1 is too short. The test performs up to 9location updates and frequency redefinitions to test that the mobile waits the specifiednumber of frames before a frequency redefinition is performed.

Currently the test allows 700 seconds. We do not believe this allows a long enoughtime for the mobile to idle update, and for the user to respond to on-screen prompts.

Therefore we propose to lengthen the timer as follows: Allow 60 seconds for locationupdating and user responses to prompts, and add on the time specified in 11.10-1section 26.6.6.1. This works out as 900 seconds.

Following Tdoc 7-00-080, I would like to propose a change to 11.10-3TC_26_10_2_4_1.

11.10-1 section 26.10.2.4.1.2 requires the mobile to perform "a non-synchronizedhandover, from a non hopping primary band SDCCH..."

The TTCN in 11.10-3 26_10_2_4_1 currently sets up a call on a frequency-hoppingchannel. Therefore we propose to modify the TTCN to use a non-hopping channel. Thiswill require the creation of a new PIXIT, TSPX_SDCCHcarrierA_ho, which will allowselection of the SDCCH ARFCN from the Cell Allocation of Cell A. This PIXIT shall beadded to 11.10-3 Annex B clause B.7.3.

Also in Annex B I would like to add TSPX_MsrCellPresent, which should have beenadded due to Tdoc 7-00-035 at SMG7 #24.

I would like to propose a change to the implementation of test cases 26.6.5.4.1 to 4.

Currently, a MO call is initiated, but the SETUP message is not acknowledged at layer2 until after the Handover in completed. There are two delays before the HandoverCommand is sent - a variable length delay while the SS waits for the MS to sendmeasurement reports containing the cell to be handed over to, and a fixed length delayof about 3 seconds due to the use of OM_ComingFN and OM_SendNextOn todetermine the frame number on which the Handover Command is sent.

There are two problems with the current implementation.

First, a Mobile that takes a while to report on the new cell will time out at layer 2 beforethe handover is complete, therefore unfairly failing the test.

Secondly, 11.10-1 clause 26.6.5.4.3 states that the time taken to perform the handovershould be measured from the end of the Handover Command. As the Handovercommand is made up of two layer 2 messages, the tests currently measure the timefrom the first layer 2 message rather than the second.

Therefore I would like to propose to remove the current OM_ComingFN andOM_SendNextOn construction and modify the tests to use two new TSOs,OM_NextTxFn (before the Handover Command) and OM_GetTxFn (after the Handovercommand), which will return the frame number of the end of the HO command, andinitiate the handover without an unnecessary delay.

The change would also be implemented in the 26.6.5.3 series of tests.

I would like to propose some minor changes to the implementation of test cases26.6.5.1 and 26.6.5.8.

26.6.5.1. In line 6, TCV_tsc is currently passed as a parameter into +FullRateCh_A_1to configure the TSC for the FACCH. This variable is set earlier in +IdleUpdated toC_BCC.

However, when the call is established in line 7 (+Est_MT_CallNonFH), the TSC in theAssignment Command is hard-coded to be TSPX_TSCDef (in +CC_EstMsTermCall).Unless TSPX_TSCDef is equal to C_BCC, the assignment will fail.

Therefore I propose to modify the TSC parameter in line 6 to TSPX_TSCDef .

26.6.5.8. The test states that MS Power level 8 should be used for the handover.Currently the power level in the Handover Command is a PIXIT. Therefore we wish tohard code this value to 8.

Following the change to 11.10-1 clause 20.6.5, Test Requirement 1 (ETSI TDOC 7-00-119), I would like to propose a change to the TTCN to align TC_20_6 with 11.10-1.

Test requirement 1 states that:

1) In step c), the MS shall transmit 2 RA requests on carrier 1 followed by 2 RA requests oncarrier 2. Subsequent RA requests on either carrier shall not occur within 4,5 s of thesecond RA request on that carrier .

Currently, the test only checks that subsequent RA requests do not occur on Cell Awithin 4.5 seconds. I propose to modify the test to check also that subsequent RArequests do not occur on Cell B within 4.5 seconds, and to fail the test if the mobiledoes send a request.

Following the introduction of Modem type Autobauding Type 1 into 11.10-1 clause11.8.2 (Tdoc 7-00-116), I would like to propose a change to 11.10-3, test stepsBasicServiceMO, BS2xMO, BS61or81MO and CallCfmGen to create constraints thatwill accept an Autobauding modem in the appropriate circumstances. The changes aredetailed below. The circumstances in which Autobauding Type 1 is a valid modem typeare, in summary: the Bearer Capability Information Element of a Mobile generatedSETUP and CALL CONFIRMED message for a 3.1kHz audio, asynchronous, non-transparent data call.

The main changes are:

• Structured type definition MODEMTYPE- element V22bisOrV26ter renamed to'v_abt1' (type B_5), and constraints modified accordingly.

• New structured type constraints of type MODEMTYPE created - V21OrAbt1,V22OrAbt1, V23OrAbt1, V22bisOrV26terOrAbt1, V32OrAbt1. These contain valuelists of the modem types as indicated by their names.

• BasicServiceMO modified to generate a modem constraint that includesAutobauding Type 1 where relevant (as indicated in 11.10-1 clause 11.8)

• BS2xMO and BS61or81MO modified to generate a SETUP message constraintthat contains the appropriate modem type value lists.

• CallCfmGen modified to use the new element name 'v_abt1' for variables of typeMODEMTYPE, and to accept the Autobauding modem type in the appropriateplaces.

I would like to propose a minor change to 11.10-3 TC_26_5_7_1_4.

Currently, the traffic channel is initialised to use a ciphering algorithm set byTSPX_CphAlgDef. However when the mobile is assigned to this channel the Cipheringalgorithm in the Assignment Command is set by TSPX_CphAlgE. Unless these twoPIXITs are the same, the test will fail at this point.

Therefore I propose to change the Ciphering algorithm PIXIT in the AssignmentCommand to TSPX_CphAlgDef (line 14).

I would like to propose a minor change to 11.10-3 TC_26_9_4 and TC_26_9_5.

Currently in both tests, Authentication during the Location Update procedure assigns Kcto a CKSN defined by TSPX_CKSNA. When a channel is next assigned in the test, theTTCN matches the CKSN sent in the Paging Response message againstTSPX_CKSNDef. If TSPX_CKSNA and TSPX_CKSNDef are not the same, the test willfail at this point.

Therefore I propose to modify the matching value in the Paging Response constraint inline 24 to TSPX_CKSNA in both tests.

I would like to propose a minor change to the 11.10-3 implementation of the EGSMpath of test case 20.4.

The Initial Conditions (11.10-1 clause 20.4.4.1) state that "The BA(BCCH) list onlycontains the ARFCNs of the carriers used during the test". Table 20.1 states thatEGSM ARFCNs shall be broadcast in System Information 2bis messages.

In the implemetation of this test, if the Mobile supports EGSM an EGSM carrier isconfigured, therefore a SI 2bis message is required to describe the complete BA.However, currently the EXT-IND bit of the SI 2 message is set to 0, indicating that thecomplete BA is contained within the SI 2 message.

I propose to set the EXT-IND bit to 1 in the Structured Type Constraint Declaration"BcchFreqLst_53e" to indicate that the SI 2 message does not contain the complete BAfor EGSM mobiles. (This constraint is only used in TC_20_4).

11.10-1 section 26.11.5.2.3 states that the Handover Command used in this test shouldindicate a TCH ARFCN of 650. Currently 11.10-3 uses a PIXIT to specify this value. Ifthis PIXIT is set to any value except 650 the test will fail. Therefore I propose to replacethe Pixit in the Handover Command constraint with a constant of value 650.

Reason forchange: I would like to propose a minor change to the 11.10-3 implementation of test cases

26.6.5.3.1 and 26.6.5.3.2.

In the current implementation, Cell A is initialised to use SDCCH/4 subchannel definedby PIXIT TSPX_SDCCH4SubB on the combined BCCH. However, when a call isestablished, in test step EstMTCall_FH, the test uses the subchannel defined by PIXITTSPX_SDCCH4SubDef. Unless these two PIXITs are set to the same value the testwill fail.

Therefore I propose to change TSPX_SDCCH4SubB to TSPX_SDCCH4SubDef in line4 of both tests.
