As announced in our issue of yester-day the steamship Kiuau arrived fromthe Volcano with a number of the Ma-sonic excursion party, who were obligedto leave by the Australia. The Kinauwas specially chartered, and left hereSaturday morning at 6 o'clock, arrivingat the Keauhou landing at half-pa-st 5o'clock Sunday morning. After break-fast tlTe party landed, and were soon ontheir way to the Volcano House. It wasreached about 2 o'clock in the afternoon.After a refreshing ieal the party de-scended in the crater and staid thereuntil nearly 8 o'clock in the evening.The New Lake was wonderfully active,and they witnessed a grand sight, onewhich they all said they never expectedto see again. The excellent food theygot at the Volcano House was somethingthat surprised them all.

Early Sunday morning the partymounted their horses and rode back tothe landing and again boarded theKinau. The vessel stopped at Kealake-ku- a

Bay Monday morning, and the partylanded and inspected Cook's monument.At 5 o'clock yesterday morning theKinau was at her dock, after an absenceof exactly three days. The party wereloud in their praise of the manner inwhich they were treated by the Captainand officers of the Kinau.

Next Monday, the 13th, the Kinauwill leave for the Volcano w$h others ofthe excursion party, returning on the19th. She will on this occasion make acomplete tour of the. island of Hawaii,and the trip will include a ride oftwenty miles on the railroad throughthe Kohala sugar district.

On the 14th another party will leavefor Maui by the Likelike. They willvisit Spreckelsville, Ilaleakala and theIao Valley. Crossing over to MaalaeaBay they will board the Kinau on the20th, and proceed to the Volcano, re-turning on the 2Gth. The enterprise otthe Wilder's Steamship Company in ar-ranging these trips to suit the visitors isto be highly common ded.

ing for an injunction to restrain the de-fendant from proceeding with certainsuits brought by him against certain ofthe plaintiffs in the District Court ofNorth Kona, and from interfering withthe plaintiffs in their enjoyment of cer-tain lands at Kona, alleged to be held bythe defendant on lease in trust for theplaintiffs and other persons forming aHui for cultivating said lands, and for adeclaration that defendant is a trustee ofsaid lease for the benefit of the plaintiffsand of such other jersons as might befound to be lawful members of said Hui,and be ordered to execute an instru-ment acknowledging plaintiffs to bemembers of said Hui.

The defendant demurred on certaingrounds.

His Honor is of opinion that the billcannot be sustained, and therefore al-lows the demurrer on the second andfourth points, with liberty to amendwithin thirty days.
