Many of these decisions are complex and some require the wisdom of Solomon. This interactive foundational ethics workshop will provide participants an overview of 2010 APA Ethics Code and its applicability to consulting psychology, particularly as practiced in organizational contexts. The workshop is highly interactive and requires open and active participant discussion. (This foundational workshop or the equivalent is a pre-requisite for attending the advanced ethics workshop.) Rodney L. Lowman, PhD, ABAP, President, Lowman & Richardson/Consulting Psychologists, PC and Distinguished Professor Emeritus, Organizational Psychology Programs, CSPP, Alliant International University, San Diego. He is the author/editor of 13 books and monographs, and over 130 peer-reviewed articles and chapters, and has made professional presentations world-wide. Many of these are concern organizational psychology ethics. He is Fellow of five divisions of the American Psychological Association, 1, 12, 13, 14, and 52. His most recent books include The Ethical Practice of Consulting Psychology (with Stewart Cooper) and An Introduction to Consulting Psychology: Working with Individuals, Groups, and Organizations. Dr. Cooper currently serves the students at Valparaiso University as Director of Counseling Services and as a Professor with the Psychology Department. He also is the head of Life Enrichment Associates, a private consultation practice. Dr. Cooper's professional development has followed the Scientist/Practitioner model of combining teaching, research, and scholarship with clinical practice. His teaching expertise is in the areas of consultation theory and process, group therapy, counselor training, treatment of addictive disorders, and health psychology. The author of five books, seven book chapters, more than one hundred journal articles, and numerous conference presentations, Dr. Cooper is a longstanding member of the editorial board of Consulting Psychology Journal: Practice and Research and several other journals including the Journal of Psychotherapy Integration and other publications.
