EtherHaul™ - First to Utilize an OFDM Modem
EtherHaul is the first point-to-point, carrier-grade, Ethernet wireless
system to utilize a single-chip OFDM modem
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a multi-carrier modulation
technique that employs overlapping, orthogonal narrow band signals
EtherHaul’s OFDM modem is relatively easier to implement (compared to
other modem techniques) and allows a low-cost, all-silicon solution
EtherHaul’s OFDM modem is more robust to cope with multipath
propagation and able to perform rapid bandwidth, coding and modulation
adaptations contributing to the link budget.

EtherHaul™ Maximizes Spectrum Usage with
Adaptive Bandwidth, Coding & Modulation (ABCM)
EtherHaul implements hitless/errorless adaptive bandwidth, coding and modulation
adjustment to optimize the over-the-air transmission and prevent weather-related fading
from causing traffic on the link to be disrupted
EtherHaul can gain up to 25 dB in link budget by dynamically adapting:
Modulation - 16QAM to QPSK
FEC coding rates – rate 4/5 to rate 1/8
Channel bandwidth – 500 MHz to 125 MHz, 250 MHz to 62.5 MHz
Traffic is dropped according to the QoS priority
