The Department of Commerce and Financial Studies, Bharathidasan University has bee

working since 1998 to progress into an Advanced Centre for Financia

Studies. The Department offers M.B.A (Financial Management

M.B.A (Marketing Management), M.Phil (Management) an

Ph.D (Commerce and Management). The department has been constantl

refining its modules to suit the needs of the industry. National Assessmen

and Accreditation Council (NAAC) recognizes the Bharathidasa

University that it endeavours to be true to the vision by creating in the region a brave new world o

academic innovation for social change.

SMART Journal of Business Management Studies

SMART Journal of Business Management Studies is an International

refereed Journal, published bi-annually by the Scientific Management andAdvanced Research Trust (SMART). The Trust also wants to conduct

seminars and workshops to discuss various emerging issues in detail. In line

with the above objectives, it is decided to collaborate with the University in

organizing the above International workshop.

Sam Houston State University

Sam Houston State University has been preparing students for meaningfu

lives of achievement for more than 130 years. SHSU offers over 8

bachelors degree programs, more than 50 masters degree programs, an

six doctoral programs. SHSU is classified as a Doctoral Researc

The Theme of the Workshop

The Department of Commerce and Financial Studies, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappall

TamilNadu, India, in association with SMART Journal of

Business Management Studies, and Sam Houston State

University, USAproposes to organize a Two DayInternational

Workshop for the benefit of College / University Faculty

Members, Research Scholars and Students. This programme is

intended to develop the effective teaching of finance courses

and explain how it can be taught better so that students and

scholars could learn to apply concepts in real life situations.

Target Audience

Faculty members handling finance course, Research Scholars and Management Students interested i

Finance / Commerce and International Business are requested to attend the above Workshop.

Participation CertificateParticipation Certificates will be issued to all the participants who complete the programme as per th

requirements.

Guidelines for Registration

Participation as delegate is invited from scholars from educational institutions and universities.

Only limited delegates would be permitted on FirstCome First Served Basis. Teachers woul

be givenpreference. Selected participants alone would be invited to attend the Workshop.

Registration could be made after receiving the filled in

Registration Form from the teachers/scholars. However, participants may also submit their registratio

as an e-mail attachment, using MS Word tosmartjournalevent@gmail.com

The use of e-mail is encouraged for all further correspondence, including acceptance of lette

invitation, etc. Acceptance for participation will be sent to the delegates only through e-mail.
