Entrepreneurship is one of the most diverse professions. You must possess an ethos capable of overcoming challenges, courage, adaptability, and independence while demonstrating a high-level of proficiency in business operations, finance, marketing and strategies. Simply wanting it badly does not equate to success; you must have a set of specialized skills that build the foundation of your success as a leader in a given market. Because of this, our program was designed to give participants the tactical advantage they need in each of 24 critical functions of new venture development.

• The ability to look carefully at the advantages and disadvantages of each possible decision, weighing the short and long-term risks while considering the broad range of ideas

Unlike the military, private citizens are not required to follow orders, therefore veterans commonly need to learn to lead by inspiration

• Ability to express oneself clearly both verbally and in writing

Business Financials
• Basic record-keeping, accounting, and maintenance of financial records is a must in running a venture; the azimuth for an entrepreneur’s success is financial viability, sustainment, and growth
• Tools you may see: Budgets (Start-Up, Operating, Capital, Sales), Financial Statements, Valuations
Data Analysis & Decision Making
• Proficient understanding of mathematics will prove invaluable to any entrepreneur. Data-based decisions supported by statistics, raw data, and processed data give confidence to teams and investors
• Tools you may see: Business Math, Applied Statistics, Data Analysis, Reading & Interpreting Information
Produce Development & Distribution
• Venture-developed marketing mix (product, distribution, price, and promotion) to satisfy customers and make a profit. Solid products are the foundation a venture is built upon
• Tools you may see: Product Design Levels, Branding, Channels of Distribution, Logistics
Pricing & Promotion
• An entrepreneur is an expert story-teller, continuously telling their story, selling the value proposition, and building a reputation in the market
• Tools you may see: Advertising, Sales Principles, Demos, Prototypes, Media, Pitches

What The Missio Needs Fo Success
Investors and donors get the incredible opportunity to support and acknowledge the sacrifice of the 2% of the population that volunteered to serve our Nation. By supporting the Academy, you support the veteran community and the free-market. Furthermore, you help to promote women and minorities in leadership position in the industry. These individuals will become entrepreneurs, developing businesses that will in-turn employ and help grow the Utah economy. In addition, investors get the chance to partner with the best network of investors, leaders, businesses and incubators in the world.
Depending on the level of investment and donation, we provide businesses, foundations, and individuals the opportunity to sponsor specific aspects of the curriculum, events, and graduation to best align their brand with key program benchmarks and an honorable mission.
