Estuaries By: Logan Lambert and Jordan Ritchie
An estuary is a partly enclosed coastal body of water with one or more rivers or streams flowing into it, and with a free connection to the open sea.
Definition
The Chesapeake Bay is located on the east coast of the United States in Virginia.
Location
The Bay has a seasonal climate with colder summers and very warm winters.

Fish that live in estuaries are called euryhaline fish.
Many of the Plants in this region are Emergent meaning they can grow directly in a pool of water such as the Bald cypress we mentioned earlier.
