Most of us have goals we want to achieve.

Staff officers should outline goals to accomplish through the membership.

Elected and appointed officers should make sure members know what the Flotilla as a whole is trying to accomplish during the year.

Specific – provides common understanding of what is to be accomplished

500 Vessel exams vs. let’s do better than last year.

Measurable - if it is not measurable you will never know if you achieved your goal. Measure or review constantly

Time based – the near future, loss of interest if too long, maximum 12 months.
