ESTABLISHED 1919Eliminate Obstacles to SuccessPrepare Yourself to be Successful!

• Obstacle 1: Keep your commander informed and do not procrastinate• The filer can’t complete any task on time if the filer starts mere days before the due date—especially if problems occur. Plan

ahead and file the first day after your Fiscal Year ends!

• Obstacle 2: Have the computer skills needed to file successfully• If the filer doesn't know how to use their computer, e.g., copy, paste, print, and scan, they won’t have the skills needed to

get an "Accepted" IRS Form 990-N receipt to the TG ([email protected])

• Obstacle 3: Ensure You Have the Required Information• Have your Employer Identification Number (EIN), Filer Username and Password and chapter name available before you start

• Obstacle 4: Understand what is needed for each step and what will happen before “clicking” on anything• Read and understand all instructions for each step BEFORE doing anything!

• REMEMBER: • The IRS Form 990-N (e-Postcard) online filing system was ONLY designed for filers to submit IRS Forms 990-N to the IRS.

Once the IRS gets an "Accepted" IRS Form 990-N receipt, their job is done• The IRS does NOT know or care about MOWW P&M Fund Dividend process. Filers reporting to the TG for MOWW Policy

Manual compliance and P&M Fund Dividend eligibility purposes is a separate process internal to MOWW, i.e., of no interest to the IRS

IRS Form 990-N• Use correct text characters when registering and

filing• Check your spam or junk mail folders• If the suggestions above don’t resolve the issue,
