The aim of this opportunity is to establish a full range of tank inspection services for large
hydrocarbon storage tanks in Qatar.
The local capabilities should include, in addition to routine nondestructive testing (NDT)
inspections, three major tank services:
Tank settlement inspection
Magnetic flux leakage testing (MFLT) inspection
Calibration.
Currently, certified personnel and equipment for specific tank inspection services (including tank
settlement, MFLT, calibration) are not available in Qatar.
The demand of tank inspection services in Qatar is expected to be QAR 3M in 2018 which will
potentially increase to approximately QAR 5M by 2023 due to local growth and regional demand.

Establish a full range of tank inspection
services Tank inspections are performed to maintain the integrity
of the hydrocarbon storage tanks and for safe and
uninterrupted operations.
Repairs are performed on demand, based on the result
of the inspections. The inspection services provided
from outside Qatar include a tank settlement inspection,
magnetic flux leak tank (MFLT) inspection, and
calibration (to verify the volume of the tank), which all
together require a full outage of a tank for around two
months.
Tank inspection services require certified personnel and
equipment currently not available in Qatar.
