Does age matter in relationships?

A long, long time ago, somebody said that love is blind and those words come through our ears very often, even today, and that will be like that, as long as love is around. But what does this really mean? When people fall in love they become different, apparently. Usually, they dedicate the most of their time to the person they love and as time goes by they start to have stronger and stronger feelings for them. When they feel like that, they are usually able to see only the things they want to see, denying everything else that differs. It means that they stick only to the person they love and neglect the whole environment where the family or their friends are in. They don’t do it on purpose, for sure. So, these kind of people are called: “Blind persons“. They are often beeing judged and called like that by some people for doing some crazy things because of love. What is a crazy thing that could be done for someone depends on individual. It depends on the observer. If he is a complicated and conservative person he will find every banal thing crazy. Most people find that the difference between couple’s ages matter, and if the difference is big that is a crazy thing. Isn’t it? That is one of the most discussed topics in love relationships.

Majority of people certainly think that age do matter in relationships.Those are usually older people, like our grandparents. And our grandparents were also thought like that by their parents because that way of thinking prevailed in the last century. They had the opinion that all women had to be younger than their men. It was not properly if a woman is older than her husband because that would be a shame for men. If the man is younger he cannot feel superior, he must feel strong and observe women as the weaker and inferior gender. The woman should have been younger and healthier because she had a lot of work to do around the house and especially to look after the children if they had any. The other assertion of our grandparents is that males and females differ in maturity. It is said that boys get mature later than girls, so it is important in a relationship that man is older than woman so they would get to balance in being mature. But it is also said that a man should not be much older, because they looked forward in the future, what will happen when they reach the old age. The younger partner shouldn’t be left alone too early if another partner dies, like we surely could know who dies first. Somebody says there is some boundary of five years difference and that should be ok.

Nowadays, people’s opinions have changed a lot from those times in which our grandparents lived. It is known that today’s youth lives fast and they don’t really care about things a lot, whether they should or not. Also, they don’t really choose who will they fall in love with. They are more open-minded than our grandparents were or even our parents. They don’t disscus equality, and avoid to think about things too much which is better, in a way.
