Thanks to the development of the internet and the growth of the air transport tourism has become more and more popular. Nowadays, you can even find tourists in such remote places like the Everest or the South Pole. But, are all the regions prepared for this?There can be no doubt that tourism has brought prosperity to places where the only way of living was agriculture, fishing or other activities for international companies in semi-slavery conditions. But it has also contributed to the development of already rich regions like the U.S.A., France and so on. For all of them, the common factor is the rise of employment, which affect directly or indirectly to the whole society. However, many people claims that the negative effects of tourism are beginning to flourish 15 or 20 years later. A recent survey in which have participated more than 1000 people in a touristic city near the coast has agreed that the quality of the sea water is very poor compared with that before the boom of tourism. Nowadays, more and more people are thinking in the unsustainable consequences of massive tourism. Nevertheless, a big amount of them were time ago in favour of its employability.Are you willing to lose the environment around you for some hotels? Employs? Think that the richness of the area is due to the beauty of its coasts, lakes or mountains. Sustainable tourism lasts forever, do not forget that.
