While it can by used by GIS professionals, and the tools it provides will be familiar to GIS professionals, its probably fair to say that Esri Maps for SharePoint is not aimed at GIS professionals. It is aimed at:Enterprise information workers; C-Level worker; Typically from a non-GIS background. GIS professionals are likely to be involved in the installation and set up of Esri Maps for SharePoint – liaising with their ICT team.
