ESPROS Photonics AG St. Gallerstrasse 135 CH-7320 Sargans Switzerland www.espros.com ESPROS Photonics presenting next generation pulsed Time-of-Flight technology Brussels, Belgium – 21 th September 2017 ESPROS Photonics presented today at AutoSens Brussels the performance and function principle of a new generation of Time-of-Flight sensors. These sen- sors will allow a car to see obstacles up to 300m and provide a high resolution 3D distance point cloud with video rate based on conventional silicon semi- conductor technology. Such sensors will make cost efficient ADAS and autono- mous driving of robotic vehicles viable. Performance parameters of the sensors include a quantum efficiency of 70% at 905nm, a sensitivity trigger level as low as 20 electrons for object detec- tion, 250MHz CCD sampling and interpolation algorithms to reach centimeter accuracy. The sensors will be operating in full sunlight without disturbance and function under all weather conditions. Beat De Coi, ESPROS CEO and founder stated: «This new generation of pulsed time-of-flight sensors will show a performance that will boost autonomous driving effort. I have been working on time-of-flight technology since 30 years and I am extremely proud that we reached this level with conventional sili- con.» The ESPROS presentation with more details is available on the ESPROS web- site www.espros.com/autosens_2017 for download. About ESPROS Photonics ESPROS Photonics develops and produces photosensitive semiconductors for challenging industrial and scientific applications.
