eServices Register Update
Background• On 1 July 2013, the eServices Register replaced the eServices Panel which started in 2003.• The Register was implemented on the Ariba Cloud Platform.• In 2016/2017 DPC conducted a procurement process to test the market for platforms
suitable to deliver the eServices register and potentially be expanded to cover other procurement categories.
• That process has concluded with the selection of VendorPanel, a multi-‐award winning platform developed and supported by a Victorian technology company.
• A non mandated State Purchase Contract, specifying VendorPanel, has been set up for the supply of Procurement Platforms.
• The eServices Register is the first such application.• Suppliers are already registering and as at 24 May, over 440 are already approved.
Why the change• We wanted to make it simpler and easier for Buyers and Suppliers to engage with each
other via the eServices Register.• VendorPanel provides better and easier reporting of use of the eServices Register.
What’s not changing• The mandated eServices State Purchase Contract is continuing with the same rules. It is
to used for the purchase of ICT solutions for Victorian Government Departments and Agencies.
Key dates• From 25 May 2017, registrations on the Register will be manually processed via the
eServices team.• From 1 June 2017, new opportunities in eServices will start being posted via
VendorPanel. You must register to access eServices via VendorPanel.• The Government’s licence with Ariba will end on 30 June 2017 and therefore all access to
eServices related data in Ariba will cease at that time.• Please Note: eServices related data in Ariba will be destroyed 120 days after the licence
ends.
Key dates• Phase 1: Simple structure• Phase 2: Supplier pre-‐qualification and compliances
