THE INDUSTRY’S CHOICE FOROPTIMUM PERFORMANCE
T he preferred choice for optimum performance
The ESD 75-160 kW compressor series combinesGardner Denver’s design technology and advancedDigiPilot controller with a compact and durable designto ensure efficient and reliable compressor performance. As an industry leader and a popular choice for a widerange of industrial applications, the ESD 75-160 kWcompressor series is reliable, easy to use and highlyefficient. This series was built to meet the demandsfor continuous 24-hour use and absolute uptime.
More weight on your benefits
• Heavy-duty construction• Clean air and efficient oil separation
Low energy consumption
Gardner Denver strives to maintain high performancelevels while minimizing energy usage through:
• Durable and efficient ENDURO® air ends• Premium-efficiency electric motors• Accurate and reliable DigiPilot control system• Versatile heat recovery
Low noise construction
Compressor noise is reduced through low rotationspeed and an effectively muffled cooling fan.
Simple maintenance
The ESD 75-160 series is easy to service through largedouble doors. All maintenance can be completed fromone side of the compressor.
Easy installation
The compact and powerful ESD series is easy to installon level surfaces and does not require extra foundationsor supports.
H eavy-duty construction
Gardner Denver uses advanced technology to constructcompressors to meet the highest standards for efficiencyand quality. The ESD 75-160 kW compressor series is aneconomical and versatile solution for the most demandingindustrial applications.
• Each screw element is carefully tested duringmanufacturing
• Each unit is test run simulating real life conditions• Electric motors and other components meet the
highest European and other standards
Compact design
Gardner Denver’s ESD series compressors are designedto save space. The 75-160 kW compressors are availableeither with the standard enclosure, super silenced enclosureor as an open frame model.
Efficient oil separation, cleaner air
For years Gardner Denver has set standards in clean airand oil separation efficiency. Its innovative oil separationsystem is based on a multi-stage process of thorough cy-clone separation followed by oil removal in separation el-ements. Superior separation efficiencies with residual oilcontent as low as 2 mg/m3.
Gardner Denver screw element
The ESD series features an ENDURO® air end that improvesefficiency, maximizes reliability, saves energy and reduceswear and tear by operating at low RPMs.
Reliable and energy efficient
The ESD 75-160 models can be either direct or gear driv-en, depending on the required flow and pressure of theinstallation.
High-quality electric motors
Gardner Denver uses the highest quality electric motorsavailable to ensure high quality and premium efficiency. The motors fulfill the EFF1 class requirements.
Advanced compressor control
The advantages of DigiPilot control
The DigiPilot compressor control ensures accurate andreliable control. DigiPilots sophisticated microprocessorcontroller facilitates efficient operation and pressure controlthrough its simple user-interface and interactive instrumentpanel. Warning lights indicate when the oil inlet filters, oilseparation elements or cooling system require serviceoperations, enabling proactive service planning.
• Full load/off load control with automatic start andstop
• Possibility for stepless throttle control from0 to 100%
• Easy to adapt into a multi-compressor system• Multi-lingual user interface
DESIGNED FOR MAXIMUMEFFICIENCY AND RELIABILITY
THE ADVANTAGES OFVERSATILE HEAT RECOVERY
The PRE system• Designed for water-cooled compressors• Cooling water is initially directed through the
after-cooler and then it absorbs thermal energyfrom a large oil/water heat exchanger
• Typical water inlet temperature: 15-35°C• Typical water outlet temperature: 65-75°C.
The DIR system• Ideal for closed systems with inlet water
temperatures up to +50°C• Separate water-cooling supply is required for
the after-cooler
The +W system• Heat recovery system for air-cooled compressors• Transfers the heat produced in compression
into water• Maximum outlet +75°C (std. 70°C)
V ersatile heat recovery
Gardner Denver utilizes heat recovery systems tomaximize efficiency by recovering energy generatedduring compressed air production.
• As much as 90% of all energy used can be recovered and utilized
• Thermostatic control maintains desired temperature in the compressor
• Heat exchangers are available in different materials for difficult conditions
• Cooling water circuit can be designed specifically to customers needs
Gardner Denver offers a wide range of heat recoverysystems to meet your application needs:
EWNAGardner Denver’s standard water cooling system
• An after cooler and oil cooler connected in seriesas a standard
EANAStandard air cooled compressor with a combinedair/after/oil cooler
• All ducts required for efficient heat recovery and utilization are easy to arrange
BUILT FOR CONTINUOUS USEIN DEMANDING APPLICATIONS
T he ESD/ESG series compressors are de-signed for continuous operation and applicationsthat require absolute performance and reliability
Continuous 24-hour use and absolute uptime arecritical factors in medium and heavy industrialapplications.
• In Finland alone, Gardner Denver supplies thecompressed air for paper mills that produce millions of tons of paper and board annually.
• Following the example set by the Finnish paperindustry, many paper mills and process plants
in Europe and in other areas use the Gardner Denver ESD series compressors
• Many European ski resorts have chosen GardnerDenver’s proven reliability in harsh conditions
• The ESD compressors are a key part of processes worldwide in automotive and safetyglass manufacturing, bottle manufacturing, steelmills etc.
• Oil and gas industry in the Middle East dependsin the dependable Gardner Denver ESD compressors.
