Azulejos (ceramic tiles)

Portugal is well-known by its azulejos, they are part of our culture and tradition. Azulejo is a type of ceramic tile, which is then painted and tin-glazed with various motifs - specially, historical and typical moments of Portuguese society. We can find it on churches, palaces, railway and subway stations and also in ordinary houses. They can be used on floors, ceilings and walls.
