• gweithio’n agos gyda Llywodraeth Cymru, y Cadeirydd, Yr Arglwydd
Rowe-Beddoe a’r bwrdd newydd o Gyfarwyddwyr Anweithredol i
sefydlu ein hamcanion unol ar gyfer y dyfodol a’r blaenoriaethau ar
gyfer cynllunio yn y tymor byr, canolig a hir
• cyfarfod gyda’r rhai sy’n gwneud penderfyniadau ymhlith ein
holl gyflenwyr gwasanaethau yn y maes awyr fel bod gennym
ddealltwriaeth unol o’n safle a’n disgwyliadau.
Roedd lansio’r ‘ffurflen adborth ac arolwg cwsmeriaid’ yn fodd i ni
ddeall disgwyliadau ein cwsmeriaid ac mae hyn wedi’’n cynorthwyo
i bennu ein blaenoriaethau allweddol wrth symud ymlaen gyda’r
broses o wella’r maes awyr. Hwn oedd y cam cyntaf mewn rhaglen
o gyfathrebu’n well rhwng y maes awyr a’r bobl rydym i gyd yn eu
gwasanaethu.
Rydym eisoes wedi cymryd sawl cam arwyddocaol ymlaen gan
gynnwys cyhoeddi rhaglen estynedig gan Vueling, a fydd yn eu gweld
yn gweithredu drwy gydol y flwyddyn yn sgil yr amserlen aeaf newydd.
Cyhoeddodd Thomson a First Choice hefyd fwy o seddau ar gyfer
gaeaf 2013.
Efallai i rai ohonoch weld y gwaith cyffrous sydd ar droed ar gyfer
teithwyr sy’n hedfan i mewn i’r maes awyr, sydd erbyn hyn bron wedi’i
gwblhau. Mae’r prosiect yma’n arddangos y gorau sydd gan Gymru
i’w gynnig, nid yn unig drwy greu naws am le ar gyfer ymwelwyr, ond
balchder yng Nghymru a’i maes awyr cenedlaethol. Mae hwn yn gam
pwysig ymlaen i wella profiad y cwsmer.
Cyn bo hir byddwn yn lansio ‘Ymrwymiad Cwsmeriaid Caerdydd’,
menter fydd yn canolbwyntio ar ragoriaeth gwasanaeth i’r cwsmer
ymhlith pob un ohonom yma yn y maes awyr, drwy weithio’n agos
gyda’n gilydd i ragori ar ddisgwyliadau’r bobl rydym yn eu gwasanaethu.
Rydym hefyd yn adolygu gwedd y maes awyr, sut mae’n gweithredu
a sut allwn ni wella’r holl elfennau yma. Eisoes mae astudiaeth
beirianyddol fanwl ar y gweill i gyflwyno cynllun newydd ar gyfer y ffyrdd
cyfagos a’r ardal gollwng teithwyr a darpariaeth y troliau ac mae’r
gwasanaethau Wi-Fi hefyd yn cael eu harchwilio.
Yn unol â’n ffocws ar wella ac ehangu’r busnes mae’n bwysig fod
gennym y bobl iawn yn y safleoedd iawn er mwyn gallu cyflawni hyn.
O’r herwydd mae nifer o newidiadau wedi’u gwneud fel rhan o’r broses
yma. Mae Spencer Birns nawr yn dod yn Gyfarwyddwr Datblygu
Busnes Hedfan i arwain ymgyrch y maes awyr i ddenu mwy o deithiau
a chwmnïau awyrennau. Mae Margaret James yn symud i ddod yn
Bennaeth Gwasanaeth Cwsmeriaid, gan adrodd yn unionyrchol i mi
a gyda ffocws clir ar y dasg hollbwysig yma. Mae Cassie Houghton,
sy’n gyfrifol am farchnata hefyd yn adrodd yn uniongyrchol i mi erbyn
hyn. Mae Cheryl Bray nawr yn Bennaeth Gwasanaethau Technegol
a Chynnal ac yn adrodd yn uniongyrchol i David Pickard. Mae’r
cyfarwyddwyr gweithredol; Debra Barber, Gweithrediadau, Steve
Hodgetts, Masnachol a David Pickard, Gwasanaethau Cyllid a Chynnal
Corfforaethol yn aros yn eu lle ac yn ymuno â’r tîm mae Jason Thomas,
Cyfarwyddwr Prosiectau a Chyflenwi ac Aimee Banyard, Cynorthwy-ydd
Personol i’r cyfarwyddwyr. Yn ogystal, mae Mike Pellegrotti hefyd wedi
ymuno â’r tîm ar gytundeb dros dro i ofalu am faterion masnachol yn
absenoldeb Steve Hodgetts ac ar y nodyn hwnnw rydym yn dymuno
gwellhad buan i Steve.
Fel y gwelwch, mae gryn dipyn o bethau’n digwydd a byddaf yn
cyfleu’r wybodaeth ddiweddaraf i chi wrth i bethau ddatblygu. Rydw i
hefyd yn edrych ymlaen at grwydro o gwmpas y derfynfa gymaint ag
sydd bosib gan obeithio eich cyfarfod i gyd dros y misoedd nesaf, felly

“This unique organisation will directly benefit the tourism industry because of the increased profile Cardiff will achieve. More visitors to the area means the local economy will grow and Cardiff will become ever more vibrant. I wanted to get on board from the start, to ensure my voice is heard and issues affecting my industry are considered and acted upon by the Council and its members.”
“It’s never an easy task to develop your business globally, but with an organisation like this behind you, a lot can be achieved. With its excellent political and business contacts, there is no better support network in Cardiff than the Business Council for local businesses. I want to help other businesses with the contacts I have internationally, and at the same time, be close enough to shape industry decisions being made. By working together, we can drive this city.”

Student Recipes
As part of the celebration of Welsh Food fortnight, Catering and Hospitality students at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor’s Dolgellau
Campus took part in a competition to devise a recipe using local fish and produce. To help the students with their culinary quest, they visited the fish counter at EuroSPAr. After a taste test of all the dishes that took part in the competition, the winner was Shannon Diponio from Dolgellau with her Seafood Paella. EuroSPAr were so impressed with the standard of all the recipes that they wanted to share them with you here. Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor also have their own restaurant called Bwyty’r Gader, which provides training facilities for Hospitality students, offering gourmet lunches and dinners for special occasions.
