ESAOTE NEW WEBSITE. GENERAL SPECS

The site will be developed with an optimization to 1280px, possibly basing the structure on a CSS Framework, such as Bootstrap.

It will entail sections (Header, Footer, Main Contents) that develop across the full width of the screen to contain, for example, image sliders.

The whole site will be developed using Responsive Web Design, in particular, site should display correctly without horizontal scrollbar on 1024px desktops and on mobile devices both landscape and portrait.

Further "responsive" contents behaviors will be defined and deepened in next specification release.

Site will be SE optimized. All URL must have a SEO friendly structure, displaying domain/section-name/product-name-page (or application-clinical solution name) reflecting website directories architecture.

Ex: www.esaote.com/ultrasound-systems/mylab-twice/ or www.esaote.com/ultrasound-systems/cardiovascular/

All pages will entail following basic SEO elements: - hierarchical Heading formatting of titles and sub-titles, - breadcrumbs navigation, - images ALT text and Title attribute in A Href tag, - SEO friendly “speaking” image names,

Other further SEO elements will be defined in next specifications releases.

Page structure entails following fixed elements: Header, Dropdown Menu and Footer. Layouts of main contents will vary according to different site sections and pages.

Some of website sections may be defined as containing mere “static” html contents (i.e. Education, Customer Care), while others (i.e. Ultrasound Systems, Dedicated MRI) will include products/systems and their relative field of application.

Esaote products are divided into five main categories:

Another type of grouping is "Applications" and "Clinical Solutions"; both are defined by same words and terminology, but - within site context - they play two different roles and functions and should be consequently managed in two different way in CMS back-office.

The list of Applications / Clinical Solutions is the following:

- Cardiology/Cardiovascular - General Imaging/Radiology - Weight-Bearing - Women's Health - Interventional/Surgery - Rheumatology - Regional Anesthesia - Vascular - Neonatal/Pediatrics - Urology - Orthopedics - Critical Care and Emergency - Veterinary*

*Veterinary: VET Esaote products category represents an exception compared with other categories, since it shows a different applications division: VET application fields are not those found in other product categories (eg. MRI and Ultrasound) but are Vet sector-specific as follows:

- Companion Animals - Large Animals - Ruminants - Swine - Food Industry - Exotic & Birds

Therefore, as far as CMS back-office is concerned, Applications and Clinical Solutions must be handled separately: the first have to be managed under Product Category, while Clinical Solutions will be positioned at the same level of Product Categories. Each product can be associated with one or more applications. Each of the 5 categories listed above will have a Drop-Down enabled on MouseOver and each DropDown will display:

In addition to the above items, the main menu will also entail following items:

Education section will not host "dynamic" products' related contents. The operators will be free to insert links by editing directly page content.

Customer Care section will host "static" contents, except for the data of the contact person of selected country/geographical area? TBD

Contact Us section must provide a form that, if the user is logged in, will pre-populate the fields with user data. In addition, the mail will be sent to the address of the contact person by type of request / region.

These combinations should be handled by CMS back-office.

DropDown Menu Ultrasound Systems

As already described here upon, each page of the site (in this case Ultrasound Systems Sub-Home), will offer user both a direct access to single product details pages, and the possibility to browse the site through the perspective of application fields of browsed product's category.

NAVIGATION through APPLICATION FIELDS

Immediately below Slider and Quick Links Menu, Category sub-home will host a box containing - as well as a title and a few lines of introductory content with main title (Heading 1) with SEO-optimized purpose about products and their application field – a list of links allowing user to navigate the section through all Clinical Applications (see Clinical Solutions) covered by selected Product Category. Through this tool user can access directly to the single pages dedicated to the application field of the products of the reference category (in this case, Ultrasound Systems). Ultrasound Systems Applications Menu will be implemented to be horizontally scrollable (eg. US Application are 11, while, for instance, Dedicated MRI Applications are only 4, therefore Applications Menu won’t be scrollable, but all MRI Applications will be all show within the page).

At the bottom of application products listing page, from left to right, there will be some a related content boxes leading to a further navigation "through application" modality; products listing will be presented through an ACCORDION Widget containing introductory text, eventual image and links, showing all the products related to the chosen application available in other categories as well. For example, in the case of Cardiology/ Cardiovascular, there will be links to products from Healthcare IT and Non-Imaging Diagnostics Systems categories specific for current clinical application field.

CLINICAL SOLUTONS LISTINGS

Clinical Solutions: sub-specialties navigation boxes The section will be divided into three columns with boxes - one for each Clinical Solution. Each box will display image, PageTitle (Heading x), short introductory text and direct link single Clinical Solution page. Each box will also include links to page showing available products for each Clinical Solutions. For example, the first box - Cardiology/Cardiovascular - will show 2 links whose anchor text will be, respectively, Ultrasound Systems and Healthcare IT, while the second, dedicated to General Imaging/Radiology will show three links, US, MRI and IT Systems, since product related to this particular specialty refer to those Product Categories. All links will be addressed to siblings pages showing listing of ESAOTE products for each category (Ultrasound, MRI, ECG, IT Systems, VET) according to chosen Clinical Solution.

CLINICAL SOLUTIONS: LINK TO PRODUCTS

As already mentioned for Applications pages, even Clinical Solutions pages and their siblings as well, will offer user the possibility of a "transversal" navigation, since under the section dedicated to sub-specialties, page will include a list of links (depending on the different Clinical Solutions user is browsing) which will allow access to view available products of each categories for the selected Clinical Solution.

For example, browsing Clinical Solutions > General Imaging/Radiology page, user will be able to choose whether to view three different products lines: Ultrasound Systems for General Imaging/Radiology - MRI Systems for General Imaging/Radiology - IT Systems for General Imaging/Radiology.

Links to available products for single Clinical Solutions are the same links displayed in Clinical Solutions Sub-Homepage boxes. Links will open a page whose layout will be the same to Applications Product Listing page one.

CONTACT FORM PAGE

Main Esaote website contact form will be accessible through CONTACTS page and through the link CONTACT US inside Quick Links Menu in site sections and pages. Contact form will allow users to send Esaote different kind of requests (Customer Service-Quick Support, Maintenance & Repairs, Education, Sales, Media Relations, HR, Finance, Other). Therefore each request has to be implemented for the automatic dispatch according to:

- User Access (Logged in or not), - kind of request - user country/geographical area selection.

Contact Form, if user is logged in, will be pre-populating the fields with user data. If a user chooses Country/Geographical Area its request has to be addressed to Esaote relative correspondent reference address of chosen Country.

From left to right the first box will be dedicated to the so-called QUICK SUPPORT: user will be able to access a contact form page for specific quick request of maintenance/assistance or to open an assistance/support ticket.

The second box, in the middle column, will show a listing of Customer services/support provided by ESAOTE; each item will be linked to a description and deepening page about Customer Care services features provided by ESAOTE.

Inside the third box - named FIND YOUR SERVICE - user will be able to choose directly through two Select Dropdown menu fields the service and which services are provided by category and/or field of application.

Once user chooses service, category and/or application, he will be redirected to a page where all services/support for selected category/application are listed alongside with relative addresses and references of person charged/responsible for selected service according to country/language.

PROBES/COILS, CLINCAL IMAGES and other PAGES

Pages such Probes, Coils and Clinical Images will host both static HTML contents and a Slider Image Gallery with sortable and searchable images through associated meta-data. Pages will include, from top to bottom a main Page Title (Heading 1) and a short intro text to introduce page contents. Main section of pages will include an Image Slider with thumbnails, respectively dedicated to Probes/Coils images or to Clinical Images. The listing of Probes and Clinical Images will be searchable through dropdown menu select to allow user to search/browse images according their specialties/field of application (ex. Probe 10-5 L20: Vascular, Small Parts, Pediatric, Neonatal Cephalic, Intraoperative, Rheumatology, Anesthesiology).
