Hope your Spring Semester is going well. We just wanted to inform you of some opportunities, like the Southern California Forum on Diversity, and update you on our ongo ng support programs. Remember, whether helping you at CSUN or preparing for your next step LSAMP is here for you!
LS‐AMP Peer Mentoring Program
The Peer Mentoring Program matches upper division LS AMP students with LSAMP FirstTime Freshman. Congratulations to all of our mentors and mentees for a great Fall 2005!
Our wonderful mentors guided frosh mentees through their first semester, helping them adjust to university life. In addition to showing them around to departments, tutoring labs, and other campus resources, many got to see mentors’ research labs, and just hang out with someone “who knows the ropes.”
As a group we had a bowling night, and already this semester went to a CSUN men’s basketball game. Next up, Mountasia, here we come!
Interested in being a Peer Mentor next year? Help a new student, have some fun, and receive $350 each semester. Applications are available in our office (JD 1501 or email [email protected] deadline: Friday, April 28.
