The Labour Party represents women the most now. The number of women labour MPs has increased from 21 in 1987 to 101 in 1997, whereas the other parties have only slightly increased or even decreased.

There is better representation of women in the UK now. The number of women MPs has increased from 41 in 1987 to 120 in 1997.

Exaggeration - Answer

John can be accused of exaggeration as he states that there was a large majority of voters in Wales who voted yes. The graph shows that the vote was 50% yes and 50% no, there was no majority.

He is also exaggerating as he states that only half the voters turned out in Scotland, but the graph shows that there was a 60% turnout in Scotland, 10% more than half.
