SUNDAY 19TH NOVEMBER

PRAYER FOR PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS The International Day of Prayer for Persecuted Christians this year is Sunday 19th November. We will be participating in this event with joint prayer sessions between 10am and 1pm on Saturday 18th November at MDMC. As in previous years this will be divided into hourly sessions, and during each one we will be praying for suffering Christians in different nations. The hourly sessions will begin promptly on the hour and finish with enough time for people to arrive or leave before the next one begins. It is hoped that this will allow people to attend for part of the morning if they cannot commit to the whole of it.

BAPTISMS Several of our church family will either be baptised or will reaffirm their baptismal vows by full immersion at a service at Market Drayton Swimming Pool on Sunday 19th November. All are welcome to the pool as there is plenty of room for people to stand and watch - please be there for 3.45pm ready to start at 4pm. Those being baptised, and those helping, need to be changed prior to the start. There may possibly be a very short time for kids to splash in the learner pool afterwards, (although we only have the pool hired until 5pm) so they will need their swimming kits with them. Parents must be in the pool with their children as per pool policy. There will be a party in the church hall after the baptisms. All are welcome even if you can't make it to the pool, we'll be there around 5.30pm. It's a bring & share meal, the hall will be open between 3-3.30 to drop food off for anyone who wants to do that.

Please not that there wil l be NO evening serv ice that day.

CIRCUIT CELEBRATION PLANNING Next meeting for planning Circuit Celebration : Thursday 18th January, 7.30pm at the Manse. Please get it in your diary now. Apologies if it clashes with Life Groups

AT7 Our next at7 is THIS EVENING when our speaker will be James Adams, who will also lead us in worship. James has been the worship pastor at Swan Bank Methodist Mission in Stoke-on-Trent since 2014, having previously ministered for 5 years at Woodcrest Church in Columbia, Missouri, USA. He grew up in Altrincham and from 2008-2009 played guitar for ‘Thebandwithnoname’. James has a passion for people encountering Jesus through worship and we look forward to him leading us and bringing God’s Word.
