May June 2016 Berry Bullen Congratulations to Neal’s Yard Remedies and Sharpak who are the lucky winners of a lovely hamper from a recent scratch card promotion we sent out for St Pat- rick’s Day. Steve Marney, Yeovil’s Recruitment Consult- ant on the Temp Desk presented the hamper to Neal’s Yard and Julia Windridge – Branch Manager and Com- mercial Recruitment Consultant for Bridgwater with April Venning of Sharpak. A BIG thank you to John at Deliamo who supplied the gorgeous hampers. LOCAL BUSINESSES WIN HAMPERS On 6th April 2016 Red Berry Recruitment held their first HR Club . The Event was held at the Yeovil Court Hotel and was well supported by local Clients and Businesses. Rachael Haynes, HR and Operations Manager for Red Berry Recruitment hosted the event and was supported by the Yeovil Branch Manager, Joanne Roberts. The attendees arrived from 7.30am onwards and were served with a superb full continental breakfast of outstanding quality. After roughly 30 minutes of informal networking and time to get to know each other, the presentations began. Guest speakers were Rebecca Bevins MD from Rebecca Bevins HR Consultancy and Maeve Vickery, Head of commercial employment Law at Pardoes Solicitors. The presentations were interactive and informative. All attendees had lots of opportunity to interact with questions and experiences. Once the presentations were complete both Rebecca and Maeve were on hand to offer advice on a one to one basis. The feedback received from the event was outstanding and we look forward to holding our next event. Congratulations to Neal’s Yard Remedies and Sharpak who are the lucky winners of a lovely hamper from a recent scratch card promotion we sent out for St Pat-rick’s Day. Bridgwater College was proud to host the Sedgemoor Business Excellence Awards 2016, which this year was held at Bridgwater’s newest venue, The McMillan The-atre, on Thursday 17 March 2016. The awards, now in their fourth year, were established by the Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Pardoes Solicitors and Bridgwater College, to create a celebra-tion for all of the excellent and successful businesses in Sedgemoor. The Awards highlight the excellent work taking place with the Sedgemoor region of Somerset and hopes to encourage others to do the same, while acknowledging the opportunities and successes of lo-cal business people.
