Did You Know that Hemingway STEAM School Is Expanding?

This year we are proud to announce the addition of 6th grade. Next year we hope to add 7th grade. Find out more about Hemingway STEAM School’s goals for the future.

Hemingway STEAM School: What do we offer?

Transportation to Hemingway from Bellevue and Hailey will be provided by BCSD.

Transportation from Hemingway to Wood River Middle School for athletics will be provided by BCSD.

Tours available weekly every Friday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Meet in the lobby of Hemingway STEAM School.

• Average class size 20 students. K-5 enrollment is 370. • Small and personal learning community from preschool through 8th grade*• A STEAM teaching philosophy where Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math are intentionally

integrated into lesson planning and infused into classes throughout the day.• Learning integrated across subjects, solving real-world problems. • At the heart of a community classroom - utilizing community partners such as Sun Valley Center for the

Arts, the Environmental Resource Center, the Sawtooth National Recreational Area and the Wood River YMCA

• Outdoor resources - next to the ice rink, five minutes from the river, at the base of Baldy and a short bus ride to the Sawtooth National Recreation Area

• Create student independence through leadership and responsibility in a safe and supportive environment

• Older students mentor younger students • World Language opportunity for grades 6-8 and Gifted and Talented Education

Escuela STEAM Hemingway: ¿Qué ofrecemos?

El transporte a Hemingway de Bellevue y Hailey será provisto por el BCSD.

Se proveerá transporte a la Escuela Intermedia Wood River para la práctica de deportes.

Visitas guiadas semanales a su disponibilidad los viernes de 12:00 a 1:00 p.m. Lo esperamos en el lobby de la Escuela STEAM Hemingway

• Un promedio de cupo por clase de 20 alumnos. De kínder a 5° grado 370 alumnos inscritos.• Comunidad de aprendizaje pequeña y personal desde preescolar hasta 8° grado*.• Una filosofía de enseñanza del programa STEAM donde la ciencia, la tecnología, la ingeniería, el arte y

las matemáticas están intencionalmente integrados en la planificación de las lecciones y fusionados a las clases durante todo el día.

• Aprendizaje integrado en todas las asignaturas para resolver problemas del mundo real.• En el centro mismo del espacio de aprendizaje de la comunidad - beneficiándose de colaboradores

comunitarios como el Centro para las Artes Sun Valley, el Centro de Recursos Ambientales, el Área Nacional Recreativa Sawtooth y YMCA del Wood River.

• Recursos al aire libre - cerca de la pista de hielo, a cinco minutos del río, al pie de la montaña Baldy y a un corto trayecto en autobús al Área Nacional Recreativa Sawtooth.
