RURAL MISSOURI GRANT

Developing a thriving rural Missouri is one of FCS Financials values. “Shaping Rural Missouri” grant program offers local 4-H groups $500 grants for projects that will benefit the rural communities. Funds are awarded to assist 4-H club members in bringing positive change by establishing projects that make their local communities better places to live. FCS Financial encourages 4-H to collaborate with other community organizations to develop and complete their improvement project. These projects can take place at fairgrounds, parks, etc.

To apply go to www.myfcsfinancial.com and submit request by April 1. For more info info go to: https://www.myfcsfinancial.com/how-we-are-different/shaping-rural-missouri-grant/

INTEREST-FREE FUNDING FCS Financial launched an agricultural youth

funding program earlier this year to assist Missouri 4-H and FFA members with their agricultural projects. The agreement provides interest-free funding for qualifying projects, is available to all 4- H and FFA members in the association’s lending service area and is repayable within one year. FCS Financial requires a detailed projected cash flow as part of the application process. The goal is to emphasize the importance of accurate records, budgeting and honoring obligations to repay in order to provide the future farmer or rancher with the tools, skills and contacts to move forward into a rewarding and successful agricultural career. If approved for funding, the applicant must keep

accurate records available for FCS Financial to

review throughout the term of the agreement. Funds are available for one project per year, per student.

For more details visit your local FCS office or go to www.myfcsfinancial.com

This team includes volunteer (club & project) leaders, Extension Staff, parents & youth working together for the good of the 4-H. As a project leader your main responsibility is to teach skills & subject matter in a given project area to the members in your club. If you are leading a project---it should be open to all members that are interested in that project area—not just your children. Please start with your project meetings now! OUTSTANDING LEADERS

The Ray County 4-H program has the opportunity to honor two outstanding leaders with the Frank Graham Outstanding Leader Award.

The Naomi Crouch Leadership Award goes to one leader or organization/business in the entire state. If you know of someone who is active at a club, county and possibly state level, please nominate them for this award.
