• France to continue until September 2006 • Notified NCs at Bled – need for new Secretariat

– Candidates to be voted on at Uppsala workshop– Take up responsibilities after 2006 workshop

• Invitation for applications for Host country issued to all NCs in May 2005

• 1 full application received from Greece by deadline

• 1 expression of interest from Norway (re Nordic Gene Bank). Full application by 15 September

• Vote 1– Postponement of decision on Secretariat to

September to allow Norway to submit full application

– NCs vote by email in September

• Vote 2– No postponement of vote– Vote on Greece only now

progress for decision at next workshop

• Regional FAO/ERFP Workshop – SoW– Budget Euro 40,000 (? 80% EU funded)

• FAO Technical Conference 2007 – ERFP involvement?
