Begun as a WMS Task Force, it was converted in 2002 into a permanent Working Group

The Demand Side Working Group’s mission is to identify and promote opportunities for demand-side resources to participate in ERCOT markets, and to recommend adoption of Protocols and Protocols revisions that foster optimum load participation in all markets.

Membership is not limited to ERCOT members – Anyone can join

The only thing you need do to participate is attend the DSWG meetings

Every member has a voteA single entity can have multiple members

but they collectively count as only one vote
