HuiskamerDe oprichting van strategisch adviesbu-reau CONFLICT in Amsterdam was twee jaar geleden eigenlijk een protestdaad. “Er was - en is - te veel bla bla en vaagheid in het marketingvak. Zeker nu het aan-tal (social)mediakanalen groeit”, aldus eigenaar Paul Blok, die lange tijd binnen Ahold verantwoordelijk was voor AH.nl.

Volgens Blok en mede-eigenaar Jurgen

Flick, die werken vanuit een tot huiskamer omgebouwde kantoorruimte, kan merk-potentie bijna altijd beter benut worden: “Maar dan moet je wel stoppen met het ge-bruik van allerlei holle frases en toverwoor-den uit marketingboekjes. De complexiteit van media vereist een simpel verwoordde strategie, liefst eentje die op een A4-tje past. En dat blijkt verrassend moeilijk.” 

Je moet volgens Blok uitzoomen en eerst op directieniveau strategische conflicten cq. tegenstellingen oplossen, zodat ze niet bij marketing terechtkomen. “Daarbij heb-ben professionals echt niet meer marke-tingkennis nodig, maar beter zicht op wat er om hen heen gebeurt.” Het bureau werkt onder meer voor Landal, Heinz, overheden, diverse b2b-bedrijven en de KRO.
