Describing the activities:

We decided to do this partnership because we want pupils to be educated, to know how to make

the difference between good and bad, to find positive patterns, to find that they always have a positive

alternative, no matter how hard the life situation is.

This partnership aims to promote the acquisition of attitudes, skills and civic knowledge through

traditional and innovative stories relevant to different students coming from different areas of life and

from different cultures. Encouraging students to read stories makes them discover attitudes and qualities

that can help them develop securely in the 21st century. In this way, students see the difference between

good and bad (national stories have the ability to see the differences between positive and negative

powers) and become aware of the true values of the contemporary world and the problems we face each

day.

Between 10 and 12 December 2018, „Grigore Antipa” Technology High School hosted the first meeting

of the European project „Embracing European Values through Tales” (2018-2020), which brings together

six countries and is run with the financial support of the European Union Program for Education,

Training, Youth and Sport 2014-2020, Erasmus +. This meeting consisted of the participation of 15

teachers (at least one language and literature teacher) from the six countries involved in a Short-Term

Joint Staff Training Event titled "An Interactive Course in Narratology and Creativity ".

The course was supported by Elena-Cristina Popescu, a teacher with the PhD degree in literature, and had

a theoretical part and an applicative part.

Dissemination methods used: leaflets, Power Point presentation, press articles, photos.

Auditor: Teachers, pupils and parents, local authorities.

Concluzii:

During this interactive course of creativity and narration, held in Romania, in Bacau, we had the

chance to meet our project partners from all the countries involved. Communicating in English, using

modern technology, using multidisciplinary strategies, engaging in diverse activities are real chances to

integrate into the European educational system. This meeting gave us the chance to meet some special

teachers who engage in the education of their students and integrate different strategies into the

educational act. The creativity exercises involving all the participating teachers have added value to this

project meeting.

Multiple activities, concentrated and diverse that took place during that training activities have

given us the opportunity to know us better, to achieve cohesion within project teams, of ane more

involved in activities interesting and attractive , to increase ICT communication skills, but especially to

communicate in an international language.
