Casual Clothes for the Community Garden Dear students, TOMORROW (Friday), the last day of term (YAY!!!), we will have a CASUAL CLOTHES DAY. And given that the AFL/NRL/NFL/SOCCER finals are upon us, I’d suggest you wear your favourite footy team colours. It will be a gold coin donation, which the Environment Captains will be collecting, with all the money raised going to our community gardens. What Community Garden, I hear you ask? The fenced off area, next to the Community Hub, is being developed into a kitchen garden for use by both the Community Hub parents and school students. Just look for the hexagonal raised garden beds. If any parents would like to know more or maybe help out, please come and ask Mr Ivan. We will also be raising funds with a sausage sizzle (halal, of

course) at the start of neXt term. So watch this space for

more news!

Meadow Heights Primary is a SunSmartSchool. We have a

policy where students must wear a

legionnaire or wide brimmed hat while out-side. From 1st September (1st day of Spring) Students have been reminded to wear their

hats as of TODAY. The wearing of an appropriate hat is COMPULSORY. Students without appropriate hats must sit in the shade during their am and pm breaks. You can pur-

chase hats from the school office: Legion-naire $6.00 and wide brimmed hats $9.00

PLAYPOD UPDATES

There has been a timetable created for all students. From now on there will only be Preps on Monday, Grade 1/2s on Tuesday, Grade 3/4s on Wednesday and Grade 5/6s on Thursday. (NO PLAYPOD ON FRIDAYS). Also there can be volunteers to help the Play Pod, please ask Play Pod staff before volunteering. Furthermore you can ask if you think there should be more materials from the Play Pod and there might be in the future!
